U notice the defects when the SA deliver to you? Or u notice them after u signed the vd form ?

notice the defect on the bonnet before sign the VD form. others part defect didnt notice until i bring the car for wash n polish on the 2nd day since the SA told me to bring to polish and claim from him.

I even demand for new car when i saw the defect but the SA insist ask me to bring to polish coz according to him it can be remove by polish.

really dissapointed.

I believe to change the car is nearly impossible. KIA wouldn't even change my car despite the fact it has a confirmed oil leak and they have no idea what to do.


But I believe for your case, you might want to look up a professional detailer and see if they can remove it. Car's international unfortunately don't fall under the category of a detailer. So you might have more luck with someone who's really into it and perhaps they can give you a better suggestion on how to move forward.

However, if the paint has already corroded, then, that might be tough, even for a professional detailer. Perhaps you could share some pictures under daylight for us to have a look in case someone might have a suggestion.

fuel economy is greatly depending on the power to weight ratio... why MyVI and vios can achieve good FC in city because the car is light and engine can provide more than adequate power plus max torque available earlier... take cerato as an example... it's abt 1,300 kg... 1.6 produces 157Nm of torque @ 4850 RPM while 2.0 produces 194Nm of torque @4800 RPM.... u think which one can take off more quickly and effortless ?


road condition, traffic condition, etc also greatly affecting the FC as wel...

You mean the SA say it can be remove by polish and ask you to go for polish then claim back from him, it seems they also know where the problem is.

Recommend that you consult with them, to re-paint in paint defect place,then claim back from him, this will better than paid rm238 for 3 layer polish. (In case they refuse, or require payment in half)

Update with my case:

Complaint to KIA HQ and i demand for new car change. Send my car to KIA HQ and let them see the condition and they offer me to repaint my car. I ask them only 1 question, what am i gonna use for my transport when it's in re-paint process??? and they can't answer me.

At the very same day i went to 1 car detailing shop using maguiar's product and let the person in charge see the condition. And good news is it can be fix with the price of RM450 for the 4 layer treatment (Compound+clay+polish + glaze polish + wax)

So the paint condition is good now although there is still remaining defect that lies inside the base paint.

SA agree to let me claim for the cost for the 4 layer treatment and previous 3 layer treatment, total of RM 688. (the so call 3 layer treatment by Car's international is rubbish and it's not even a treatment but just a normal polish and wax. Please avoid Car's international service)

to be exact they can change new car to you but they just don't want to since it's a lot of procedure. My friend bought a proton and get to change a new car for the defect problem.

Not to mention for luxury car like BMW and Merc, friend of mine get a new car too from the defect. It just of matter how you demand for it.

not sure if u bring ur car to authorized dealer or KIA SCs.... from my experience with PJ Red Cube... if u have to leave ur car overnight for warranty claim...they will provide u a courtesy car usually a kia forte... at least this is what i got when i leave my car there for 1.5 days warranty claim...
