QUOTE(ruztynail @ Aug 15 2013, 11:54 PM) Anyways those who bought MY set with two warranties how r? Mine local set still one year only. I ask lenovo service centre and my supplier register for me. Just checking bfr I start calling the supplier n lenovo. The thing that changed is the warranty day start instead manufacturing date to now the purchase date. You can check back the first page of this thread that you will need to register the warranty by sending them an email with all the necessary information Anyway, anyone find it very small and tight fitting on the bundled lenovo dicota backpack for Y510P ?

QUOTE(nexus2238 @ Aug 12 2013, 05:00 PM) if you check Intel spec sheet on all the Haswell laptop CPU released so far, you will see that Haswell mobile CPU (HQ, MQ, U, Y) only support DDR3L or LPDDR3. http://ark.intel.com/sticking 1.5v DDR3 into Haswell spec laptop is asking for trouble Hmm, so does the DDR3 RAM in the new Y510P 1.5v or 1.35V? http://ark.intel.com/products/75117/Intel-...GHz?q=i7-4700MQThis post has been edited by Dbassnut: Aug 16 2013, 12:05 PM

Very recommended seller to everybody Hope sifus here can help me if have unknown issue as I still newbie of laptop. Cool, I too am thinking of getting one from her. Just curious, did you upgrade your RAM? also, could you check if your RAM is DDR3L (1.35V) or just DDR3 (1.5V)? Nexus says it should be DDR3L.

According to notebookcheck, the Y510P has a battery life of 2hr49min at idle. The Y500 has a battery life of 4hr04min at idle. other cons is the Y510P doesn't turbo boost but the Y500 does.

QUOTE(misalika_93 @ Aug 16 2013, 03:34 PM) sorry sifu, I don't know how to check it. I'm using CPU-Z http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html#aboutPretty nifty program that lets me check out whats on my laptop without having to open it. I think the RAM voltage is listed under the SPD tab. This post has been edited by Dbassnut: Aug 16 2013, 03:45 PM

I've been going through some online reviews for both the Y500 & Y510P. I noticed that the Y510P has a shorter battery runtime (2h 49min) compared to the Y500 (4h 04min) atiIdle (without WLAN, min brightness). 1hr in difference. geramnya. I thought Haswell supposed to be more energy efficient that Ivybridge? Also no turbo boost enabled for Y510P. Dono if this can be solved via software update later. Apart from that, I like the Y510P.

I realize that its not likely that anyone here remembers this series. lol.

Please refer attachment for the screenshot. So, what do you guys think. You should try contact Lenovo Malaysia instead of Lenovo US, because you are going to send warranty here not there. I just happened asked one of the Lenovo authorized reseller staff from brightstar, he said you can claim the international warranty for US version notebook but you must have the original receipt of the shop you bought from US, so this receipt should be with the dealer that brought the notebook from US, but it might be tricky to get that receipt as they usually buy bulk. I also ask the seller that selling the US version, he said u can send the notebook to him for warranty, which really concern me. I just share what I have been told. If u have the extra money just buy the local set, it reduce the risk. somemore u get 2 years warranty.
