I've been going through some online reviews for both the Y500 & Y510P.
I noticed that the Y510P has a shorter battery runtime (2h 49min) compared to the Y500 (4h 04min) atiIdle (without WLAN, min brightness).
1hr in difference. geramnya. I thought Haswell supposed to be more energy efficient that Ivybridge?
Also no turbo boost enabled for Y510P. Dono if this can be solved via software update later.
Apart from that, I like the Y510P.

erm, about the battery .. maybe true coz mine got low battery after 2hr 30m (approx) playing. hmmm, but at all it's satisfied me biggrin.gif

I'm using CPU-Z
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html#about
Pretty nifty program that lets me check out whats on my laptop without having to open it.
I think the RAM voltage is listed under the SPD tab.

Probably the high end Y510p SLI model can use the m2 SSD, but its too new and difficult to find in the market.
Its not a big issues as we can use the normal 2.5" SSD with bigger capacity.  smile.gif
*
SLI version also do not have m2.ngff connector port as Single GPU variant , already know it before raya.

some seller still dreaming bundle msata ssd / said to buyer can add on M2. Ngff ssd later as current in market no sell , thumbup.gif ask them disassemble the back cover and install for you see see thumbup.gif

Y510p should has longer battery life with optimus enabled and more power efficient Haswell proc. compare to Y500. smile.gif
In notebookcheck review, Y510p SLI model shown shorter battery runtime since it spec with lower capacity battery and test with SLI enabled (optimus disabled).

u can OC the haswell proc if needed. brows.gif

Thanks. notworthy.gif
For those with Y510p, remember to choose auto select in Nvidia contro panel and power saver in power management to maximize battery runtime as per below step. thumbup.gif

In Lenovo power management, change power plan to
- high performance for max performance with shortest battery runtime
- balanced performance for average performance/ battery runtime
- power saver for min performance with longer battery runtime

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

In Nvidia control panel > manage 3d settings > Global settings >preferred graphics processor and choose
- high performance to enable discrete graphic card (ie GT750m) for max gaming performance
- integrated graphics ( Intel HD4600 )
- auto-select (enable Nvidia optimus for auto switching of GPUs for longer battery life)

According to notebookreview forum for Y510p SLI model, u can either choose smile.gif
- SLI mode with no optimus support or
- single gpu with Intel HD4600

can post screen for Display adapter in device manager, GPUZ, Hwinfo-system summary for Y510p SLI model. TQ.
