If I were to reach at Osaka at 9am, is there any place to put our luggage? The hotel check-in is around 3pm right. I don't want to carry our big luggage here and there while sightseeing.

Go to your hotel. You can check in early even if room not ready. Leave bags there, go away, come back at 3, collect key and enter room. No prob.

http://www.bmobile.ne.jp/english/

i used this during my last travel, both valid for 14 days, i bought the unlimited quota but limited speed, very turtle slow. better get the 1GB. if want surf net surf at public wifi or at hotel (bring posts or wifi router), save the 3G for GPS and map search.

there's the same unlimited quota limited speed 384kbps, valid for 30 days and save 1000 yen, but you need jap's hand phone to activate, if call English rep you need to pay extra 2500 yen. if you travel longer than 14 days it's still cheaper than buying 2 visitor sim for 28 days 8000 yen vs 3000 yen + 2500 yen activation, or best pay someone to activate for you lol. hotel staff might just willing to do it for you for free or for minimum fee as i think handphone activation is toll free, ask before you go.

hi, was wondering if anyone here used the pocket wifi before when you guys are in Japan?
I'm going there with a friend and we were thinking of renting this pocket wifi from

http://globaladvancedcomm.com/pocketwifi.html
(just in case we hilang, at least still can google map LOL)
10 days rental = 6600 yen with tax (collection from airport post office)

Another alternative is the visitor sim from b-mobile.
1GB for 14 days = approx 4200 yen with tax (collection from airport post office)

A bit dilemma now.
And when they say UNLIMITED DATA, meaning there's no quota on the wifi rite? (coz i'm no gadget gizmo, so a bit blurcase here)

Any advice on this as to which is better?
main usage is watsapp, google map (MOSTLY) and routes to use (just in case sesat jalan)

angellus - don't spend so much on mobile data, get the b mobile. if you want to surf Internet use public wifi or hotel wifi. save the mobile data for important things like gps...
