yep, that is true, according to the data for all country.

take a closer look at diff prop types, diff states, change from 4q12.

if I read rite, condos outside kl not doing so well, houses in kelang, gombak not so good too, district petaling ok.

bungalows n smds softening.

then again, one quarter says little, we wait...again!
btw, if appr is 6% pa, r u happy with it?
*
no good... if it went up 6% in a single quarter considering the remaining 3 quarters of the year appreciate approx 5% it would add up to 20% in this case the property sector will definitely escalate further or what the DDD camp always say bubble and eventually burst when the market can no longer take it.

May i know where is the unit u have bought?
i did search around sub sales but either it is too expensive or too far away from city, and those which is near to the city are low cost units, which tend to have high crime rates.
*
I havent bought it yet. The prop is even a walking distance to existing lrt station. Such prop exists dear. Wait until i buy then i will let u know. smile.gif

'Transit homes' for newly-married couples: Rahman Dahlan

KUALA LUMPUR: The government will be setting aside 10 per cent of the total People's Housing Projects (PPR) to be rented out to young and newly-married couples at RM124 per month, said Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan.
"The couples have 2 years to stay at what we call as 'transit homes' as a temporary measure to help them before getting a place of their own.

"We find that young couples usually cannot afford to buy a house and they take time to get one. So we hope with this initiative we can help ease their burden."

Abdul Rahman stated the eligibility is for the couples to be 30 years and below with an income between RM2500-3000.

"The project will start in Kuala Lumpur and major cities nationwide first and from then on, we will see how it goes," he said after the winding up speech at the Dewan Rakyat today.
Asked to comment on the Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT), he said that he will be holding talks with Bank Negara to decide on increasing it.
"Right now the RPGT is at 15 per cent but we will monitor with Bank Negara, if they feel it is time to review the decision.
"We are in favour to increase up to 30 per cent if it helps stop the speculation.
"This, however, depends on the market if it really goes hot," said Rahman.

I have an urge to dig out the versions of this thread that posted during 2008 - 2010, to see who is boasting and who is not.

I'm just being too regretful that the moment I started to know about stock market was end of 2008 and property market, only since last year. If I would have learned much about stocks and property, I would have well planned and prepared enough.

I know I can work harder, but still, it doesn't mean my salary + part time jobs increment can beat the increment of housing price. Sadly, working harder and harder is not the best choice but apparently this is the only choice.

Do you think renting house are better than buying nowdays ? you never know what gonna happen to your housing area in future, it might be packed with african, bangladesh or indonesian colony.....if you only rent it you can just move out, sommore you won't have such a burden commitment for 30 years

Yes and no. Just to share. I have a friend who rents at rm7k for a bungalow with a pool. He is a malaysian btw. If he buys the bungalow, the monthly installment is rm10k. He doesnt bother to buy coz he earns a lot more money elsewhere. I have a 100% different view from him coz i gain profit from prop. People say he is stupid but he earns more money than those people who call him stupid. LOL.

Hello guys, I'm new in property (since last year only), so can't say much but can only refer to report & data (or facts, assume they are true?!  rclxub.gif ):

http://napic.jpph.gov.my/portal/content/Pu...HRM_Q1_2013.pdf

Just look at the fact:
The Malaysian House Price Index increased by 6.0% in Q1 2013 relative to Q1 2012  rclxm9.gif  icon_question.gif  doh.gif  mad.gif  shocking.gif  sweat.gif

IMO, 2008 there were china and euro economy which cushion the effect. Our commodity petroleum and palm oil were enjoying historical high prices. And China was still riding high on the expansionary effect on beijing olympics while Euro's economy was red hot. If you are working with US companies during 2008, like Citibank, then you could have felt the effect. Otherwise, we were fortunate that other parts of the world economy saved us

This time if ever china faces crisis, hopefully USA economic recovery will save us

After US was in crisis and still was in a slump, at the same time Euro went into crisis but still Malaysia was not affected.

Yes. China is still growing at 8%+ then. Even that, countries around us mostly experiencing recession in 2011/12. On the other hand, Malaysia still grow by 5% because Ah Jib Kor is spending indiscriminately. Internally supporting our economy. Ah Jib Kor is doing a good job in this instance and we should be thankful to Ah Jib Kor rclxms.gif

Right the effet was a bit on the economic side and not huge. Should be more specific, it was no effect on properties in Malaysia.

And Eddy, the headline was Ape lagi Cina Mau and not Apa cina mau lagi...must be specific as Utusan to make the phrase funny. Stupid Utusan, then next thing you know I get fired from my job because condemning Utusan.

Lately i realized most Malaysians are using "Apa lagi cina mau"as a joke sentence regardless of race (dunno how can utusan writes such a thing and gets away with it)..Same like if anything bad happens, everyone goes, " ini semua mesti salah Anwar".
