Hi everyone, checking in with silver 32gb version.
Migrated from iPhone so this android experience is really new for me what more a new phone.

Would like to check with all the taiko here, is there another way to "unsleep" the phone apart from pressing the on/off button. If the button is the only way, then pening also cos not sure how durable it is.

Button is the only way unless you unlock your bootloader and install a custom kernel that allows you to map the on button to some other button. HTC has said that their new button design is supposed to last longer than all their other designs, so shouldn't have that much problem ba.

Wrong.  With the HTC One, you don't need to S-Off to flash kernel from ROM through recovery.  Unlocked bootloader for the One can do that as well, no fastboot needed.  S-Off advantage for the One is only to get the LOCKED status back.
*
No, S-Off has several advantages over Unlock via HTCDev and not only "LOCKED" status.

1) Only S-Off will guarantee you a permanent root.
2) To claim warranty as the status remain "LOCKED"
3) Can flash the boot.img directly and no need to flash using flashboot before flashing the ROM
4) If there is a HBOOT upgrade that depends on CID, you do not need to wait for the official HTC one. S-Off can flash the newest HBOOT directly.
5) Only by S-Off, you can flash a new or updated Radio to improve performance of your phone.

You mean unlocking the phone without pressing the power button?

I have read somewhere from this thread but I do not remember who, suggested by using this apps which called "Gravity Screen Off"

It is very convenient to me at some point, especially while working.

I have read also, HTC One user power button has "sunk" in due to frequent use.

devil94, wrong wrong....flash with volume wake only, not APM. xposed is to enable APM but not volume wake so in shorts.

ARHD 10.2 Flashing
- volume wake = tick
- APM = untick

modaco toolkit
- volume wake = untick
- APM = tick

Im using above setup, and able to use APM with volume wake even in deep sleep.

Number 3 is no longer true. HTC has changed their HBOOT for the One, and unlocking the bootloader gives you the ability to flash kernels through recovery without the need for fastboot.. Said it a couple of times already in this thread. HTC has even made an announcement on this. The HTC One's Unlock status acts the same as a Nexus device.

Unlock bootloader -> root -> custom rom (ARHD 10.2 or others) -> enable volume button wake.

If you dowan custom rom, can use xposed with modaco toolkit, but it dont work all the time.

its a good move from htc, but i still prefer S-OFF to write hboot, radio, cid, almost everything of the phone, but non experience user should just stick with S-ON to prevent hard brick to their phone.

perhaps i will do that.
and only s-off to write off the "tempered" if there is ever a need for claiming warranty.
but the con is that if wanna update hboot, its gonna be alot of hassle.

iOS 7 temps me.. sweat.gif i already let go my iphone after got this, but now.... laugh.gif do you guys think that the new features in iOS7 is trying to offer something already available in Android? but as always, Apple try to do it better.. from the sneak peeks, i really like the interfaces.. will i say goodbye to HO? (budget low nowadays, can't have both iphone 5 and HO at same time, if like Uncle Benny sure can have both smile.gif )

anyhow, for this HO, i got nothing else to discuss apart than enjoying the phone now, except that i still wish to exchange to get a perfect unit without gap, but transferring the content to a new phone will be a hassle as i don't root to use TB. haishh.. always got hassle.. tongue.gif

I like the new revamp UI and new photos gallery smile.gif
Look simple and colorful. Also the dynamic parallax effect between the icons and the wallpaper as you turn and tilt your phone is beautiful!

Apple always take it and enhance. Nothing new anyway. Let's see how Android fight back with Key Lime Pie

p/s I have wrote all the new features in iOS 7 in my blog and abit of my opinion

I still enjoy my HTC One too btw laugh.gif yesterday just show off abit to friends in cinema for all the features

Hi guys, do you know if possible to customize the feed source on BlinkFeed? I googled and seems not possible. Would like to for example feed malaysiakini, thestar, or other entertainment sites.
