For me i prefer to buy a software stable phone. Cause my ex-phone samsung always give me problem.

HTC original = stable + extra features
Google = stable only

So since both is stable then i will choose a stable + extra features.

photo quality will be better on Sense interface compare to stock Android... due to the custom image processing from HTC Sense. biggrin.gif

wow! so many users here dont like stock android.

i'd though the fact that HTC (and sammy) willing to go with this because there is a market for it...

i like the stock android,

4.2 > 4.1
- webkit optimization
- dalvik optimization
- renderscipt api - which allow Photosphere to stitch multiple photo damn fast
- stock Gesture keyboard can even recognize people name in contact
- many more underlying api improvement

and if that is not all, wait for 4.3:
- OpenGL ES 3.0
- Bluetooth Smart Ready
- Better 2d rendering with re-ordering and merging (https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2780417/+2060#)
- Guest Mode (not confirmed)
- Better camera UI (still not as good as HTC  tongue.gif )

if HTC One with pure android = same price Nexus 4... i'd go for HTC One... ya, i m dreaming  cool.gif
*
actually i do like stock android... I use stock android on my HTC sensation. It's just that the HTC ONE features is not fully utilized in stock Android hmm.gif

Is ok. I reviewed Note 1 and Note II before (Samsung loan me a unit) and I dont like it. Reason why I love phone perfectly fit my palm because I love use swype on phone single handed epsecially when driving tongue.gif
Yea pros and cons but scren with 4.3-4.7 inch still ok for me laugh.gif My previous phone Padfone is 4.3 inch and previous again is Sony Xperia Nep 3.7 inch which is one of the best phone for me to use when driving. Swype like a boss to reply ppl whatsapp tongue.gif
*
i find the optimum size for a phone should be around 4.0-5.0 inch screen. with 5.0 screen, the bezel have to be very thin for good ergonomics...

I just know about this... Unlocking your phone does not mean the warranty has been void...

SiS has changed their website, so there's no more warranty registration.  I called them also and they say the receipt is your warranty now.  The warranty registration still exists by itself, but it's no longer linked to the main website and should not be used.
Those only apply to US/UK.  We don't seem to have anyone in MY who is familiar with similar laws in Malaysia to clarify this for us ):

currently I'm very satisfied with HTC Sense 5. maybe I will only consider custom ROM after a year or after HTC stop coming out with updates haha

lol wont go for custom rom
cause custom rom no support zoe features

Well the best optimized and most 'stock' custom ROM would be ARHD. basically it's derived from stock, but with optimized drivers and performance. with an option to remove some bloatwares icon_rolleyes.gif

I think better use it until it fail then go and claim new one. As it is there is little basis for the claim since it still works and nothing malfunction came from it yet.

Since ifixit is having a rather hard time taking this HTC One apart I wonder if they would just go ahead and give you a new one if anything goes wrong inside? but someone mention only RM149 to replace battery out of warranty period.
Think they have special tools to pry in there without damaging the aluminium case?
*
I think they 'should' have... access through prying of the 2 aluminium speaker grills... I would not ever send any of my high end phones to any other handphone shops other than authorized HTC service center though...

mine is almost on par as well...but it's still accessible. need to go play with demo set again. but the problem with demo set is that they are abused so much it's possible that the button are worst than ours.

Hi folks,

Just received my Draco Design bumper. I will say it looks very nice in person and the side buttons and top button feel nice (will take pics tomorrow)

1 problem though --

The back bumper is not tall enough... due to the curve of the HTC One, it has 0 lay on the table design, and 0 drop protection!

The curve of the phone is taller than the bumper causing the phone to touch any surface it lays on. In short...this case serves no purpose.

Buyer Beware
*
you bought through the website? well i'm aware that bumper casing don't actually give any protection to the phone... Especially when HTC One has a curved back... doh.gif
