During 97-98 recession, China also saved us Malasiao once lar. If want conquer why come save Malasiao from recession? When those cibai Singaporean team up western try to screw Malasiao during recession. That’s why dr.M damn kao hate Singaporean until today.

Not me said, this said by dr.M when he was the prime minister during 97-98. He said big thanks to China country support Malasiao during the recession time.

Well, they've got to build those two stations up sooner or later once PH manages to get some developer to develop it. I'd wager MMC-Gamuda will just hoard up the portion where those two stations are supposed to be built.

LGE still has a lot of explaining to do... A saving money headline is always welcome by politicians by end of the day... it is the functionality and practicality that matter...

at this stage, the underground excavation is more or less completed and you can't leave the "empty box" there without any structural supports. Not much can be saved from omitting the two stations. the savings are coming fro, their big fat profits i guess.

The contract is now changed to turnkey contract. The turnkey contractor now can have the final say on the materials and systems used as long as they comply with the specifications. Previously MRT Corp have a say in deciding what to be used. This contributes to part of the cost saving.

Yup you are right. For LRT3, they come out with details how to cut cost, measure taken which includes cutting down the stations, the train itself, prolong the completion date (i wander why prolong can cut cost?)

The government yet to explain in details for MRT2. Or unless cut cost due to initially got lots of money being songlap into pocket.

i doubt they've changed the type of contract. elevated is still PDP and underground is always turn-key contract.

Not sure what they're going to do with the empty husks of Bandar Malaysia North and South stations, tho. Hopefully both MMC-Gamuda and the Finance Ministry can shed more light on this aside from saying that its cancelled.

I remember some story shared previously... got contract around 1.5mil, actual cost to build is 900k only.. Balance is profits cool2.gif

well I heard some of the $$$ when into some people pockets as "donation"
MACC should investigate.. I got some doubts on the Projects.. not transparent enough.. MRT 3 also could be like that.. lucky. Not into deep constructions yet :just initial stage.. so easy to cancelled it

Elevated is no more PDP now, the elevated and underground will be managed as one turnkey project.
