I thought MRT should bring up values in the surrounding area? Why are people protesting? Those are residents protesting. What about those owners of commercial or industrial properties nearby? Surely, they would like MRT to cover the areas surrounding their properties right? Even for residential properties, I prefer MRT to cover the area that I stay rather than being left out. Am I missing something here?

I think by that time Malaysia has 10 lines in Klang Valley, it will be like in 2050 already.

2 lines enough to be called world class city?

I think minimum must have 4 lines , 3 lines plus one circular line . By the time MRT 3 completed in 2025, we are almost a world class city . But dun forget, these are moving targets , 10 years later, will need more lines to justify.

They said reopen tender of underground portion. Never say reduce stations also. Even above ground stations all maintained but cost was cut. So, possibly the same is going to happen to underground portions?

Very much agree. The purported savings, if any, is minuscule in the bigger scheme of things if we look at the number of projects the country is going to undertake in the future. If can make sure every new project from now on is tendered properly in the future is already very good lor. Why make such drastic move to re-tender an existing contract? So wrong man. How to have confidence in future government contracts? Can't help but to feel that it is all done to make the previous government look bad.
