3) Cut a number of train set
4) Cut design and asthetic of station - cheap tiles, no more alumininium wall cladding, etc etc etc
5) And of course cut profit.

So likely we will get substandard station vs MRT 1, and longer waiting time for train

Yes. I personally do not like current government. Hopeless Finance Minister forced MMC Gamuda to cost down to deliver lower standard MRT. Do not care about the safety and quality at all

Went to developed countries theirs is just a simple design station to save tax payers money and used it for other more beneficial like health & education

it's useless if the facilities like crap for a fabulous design station..

Look at our LRT, KTM, or Monorail stations.. either lifts or escalators rosak(sometimes both also rosak).. normal people can climb all those staircases, but how about those senior citizens or OKU?

luckily MRT stations are OK but still can improve

well thanks to previous regime..
can charge extra for all those design.. more $$$ into pockets.. but maintainence sucks.. first class facilities, third class mentalities...

Lowering cost doesn't mean lower safety. Logically they cut down on profit, maybe appearance and size of the station etc, but that's fine if it is still functional. Spend money where is necessary and I trust safety is core and not being compromised.

Unless u have the details that show otherwise, else it's not appropriate to simply accuse the current govt don't care about safety and quality.
