are u using oculus rift in steamvr?
for my WMR, i could just use the thumbstick which rotates the room.

alternatively u could install OpenVR Advance Settings by ykeara or icewind. These are addon for steamvr that allows some customization to it. One of it function is to change the center and the floor of the VR space.
*
Ya I know about Advance Setting too but its not exactly can be done on the fly, it takes a few steps to adjust the VR space instead of instantly recenter based on your current position.

Searched around but it seems SteamVR really don't have such setting. Too bad then sad.gif

Oh that's really nice thumbsup.gif
Next time if I get Oculus, I could try this out.

On PSVR there is CoolPaintrVR for this sort of things. I should probably try it out.

i think tht CoolPaint more like Google Tilt Brush..its more fun arcadey type with a lots of brushes and cool effect.
Sony should give it free bundle with psvr..actually is there any free games/apps bundle with PSVR?

Yeah.. the accessories price for rift now are pretty high. ur better off using empty toilet rolls and bendable metal hangers and make your own. These things are very popular yet.

I have a lenovo explorer and a vive.
I highly advise you to get the wmr controllers as well as there is no way to buy one separately anymore.

Lenovo explorer is possibly the lightest WMR headset and worth the price. But it may not be suitable for every1.
The main concern to avoid is the fixed IPD (at 63mm) along with the narrow sweet spot.

Thanks unfortunately the only bundle with controllers are a used item. I never bought used electronic stuff so I'm quite skeptical to purchase one.

Thanks for the input I think I'm gonna hold the purchase since I can't find any cheaper entry to vr lol

actually i bought mine from amazon during no gst period. i got it for about 1.3k in total? It arrived without any issue. Amazon will settle custom tax on your behalf.
I ve sent mine back to warranty once, and amazon confirms the defect, they reimburse my return charges and deliver charges and FOC the delivery fee of the new set. which all in cost as much as the lenovo explorer itself. I honestly feel bad but i think their trying their best to penetrate our market.
The only time my electronic got stopped by amazon is a brand new laptop, which i need to pay RM100 to sirim for evaluation of specs (which is still way cheaper than buying it local.)

(edit: each malaysian human is allowed to import 12 times per year, to avoid abuse)

Unfortunately the first gen WMR has reached "product end of life" with many manufacturer stop producing them. only Acer and Samsung seems to be committed to WMR future.. for now..

have u considered other WMR? If i were to rebuy it, i may actually choose the Dell Visor. The right sided cable placement of the lenovo explorer is kind of annoying.. having these wires on the right does obstruct some games such as archery. Dell visor has theirs on the left side.

Wait, because that's what I'm doing atm. Until there is a new Vive or Rift.
That isn't Quest, Pro, Pro Eye, Cosmos, Focus or any kinda of this laugh.gif

Will definitely jump the gun for a Rift 2 or Vive 2, or whatever it's called laugh.gif
For now happy with my PSVR, budget friendly solution.

Not sure why you want those. You can just get a cheap vr box that cost way way less with controller.
Also those are meh VR experience. Mobile VR aren't the same like a Vive, PSVR or Rift. The difference is night and day, quality wise, immersion and etc.

I have a gear VR too.
Gear VR uses a more reliable IMU which responds faster and tracks more accurately, thus taking some load off the phone. The lenses are also optimize to use as much of the phone's screen with minimal distortion from a general vr box lenses. its great for watching 360 videos.. and thats about it.

It does have an official facebook, netflix and browser app (which can load any 360 or 180 video with 2d or 3d support).
Battery life last about 1-2 movies.
Its great combo i use to watch videos/photos i took from 360 cameras.
It also does not use fresnel lenses (unlike rift, vive and wmr) hence having minimal "god rays" but at the cost of chromatic aberrations.
Also note that gear vr runs at 60Hz and has no positional tracking, therefore more likely to cause motion sickness.

However, i also dont recommend buying gear VR as the new Samsung S10 will usually arrive with a new revised version of Gear VR.
