Tomorrow there'll be Beat Saber Tournament at Mid Valley The Rift.

Apart from that, I'm also supplying Oculus Rift to be used for tomorrow and Sunday's Education Fair at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre.

Anyone interested to try out Oculus Rift can come visit Mid Valley Education Fair tomorrow and Sunday.

My rift reach already. I felt it is much clearer than vive, although didnt try same game yet. But very difficult to wear for glasses user. Anyone bought the custom rift glasses before? How much?
*
Try Vive Pro, much clearer than Rift too.
After that try Samsung Odyssey+, clearer than Vive Pro too.
Finally try Pimax 8K/5K.

Yeah, with that price.. Its pretty hard to justify. Not to mention, higher resolution would need higher spec gaming rig to utilize the advantage of vive pro.

Might as well order the samsung odyssey and mod it to use vive wands. Total cost still cheaper buying vive cv1 and samsung odyssey.

Just waiting for a new Oculus or Vive. Satisfied with my PSVR for now, with the amount of exclusive games and waifu games it has on PSN lol. Also I'm only mostly just gonna play Beat Saber anyway

Planning to get myself into VR games, but thinking between the HTC Vive and oculus rift.

Is vive worth the extra buck for laser sensors, compatibility for accessories upgrade, and local warranty?

Few questions to ask yourself:

1. Do you want additional accessories upgrade?
Yes - HTC Vive
No - Oculus Rift

2. How big you plan to set up your play area?
Small, below 8ft x 8ft - Oculus Rift is almost 1/3 cheaper
Big - Oculus Rift is about RM500 cheaper, but HTC Vive more popular for this segment - you decide
Very Big - HTC Vive

3. What is your PC specs?
Low/Mid Spec GTX960/1050Ti - Oculus Rift Asynchronous Spacewarp(ASW) helps smoothen framerates even on lower spec PC
High Spec GTX1070/1080 - Both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift same - you decide

4. Have you tried both? Its recommended to experience the tracking, headset comfort, headphone sound, controller ergonomics and gesture, level of screen door effect, level of god rays etc. before you decide as reading/watching online reviews can sometimes be quite contradicting.

5. Laser sensor vs Constellation(camera) sensor, is it huge difference? Just as no.4 above, go try it out to and you'll find out whether worth the extra buck smile.gif

This is all depending on your preference in general. Do you wear spectacles or not, the comfort level, which do you think is right for your head and all that. I think Oculus or Vive, you can go with any. But which one do you prefer the most? Both have their own pros and cons. Definitely go and test both first, and then decide for yourself. Vive has local warranty now as well if you're into that, since it's official here now.
