PSVR selling really well btw here. Stock seems to be sold out and restocked every time. Looking at a few shops like Impulse for example, even Sony store in KLCC.

when possible u should get the HTC Vive or Oculus rift. those have more consistent performance.

playing on WMR is like playing on a half broken VR device..

Sebastion Ang is an actor and will hide the issues in his reviews. but if u look at his reviews on games using the lenovo explorer.. u can see some tracking issues.
https://youtu.be/IAQAcowSsEM?t=419 and also at 18:08.
from my experience. they tracking cannot track fast and fine movements.... they can also register false position as both controller uses same circular LED.
Sniping is also nearly impossible with WMR.

do u have rec room on psvr, i can show u how far the hand really tracks
*
Already uninstall rec room sweat.gif but i get your point that wmr suck. Though I am still interested coz it's cheap to start pc vr.
I can get dell visor for 1.2k using ezbuy prime service which is why I'm prone to it.
The lowest I see rift is 2k on shopee..

Imho wmr was design for non gaming. It seems targetted at portability and text reading.
I suppose u can try get the dell visor. Maybe sell off if u find u wanna upgrade. Dell visor was my second choice. My decision for lenovo was scewed by youtube reviews. Looking at how dell position their front camera, user may have more range of tracking?
WMR software has vastly improved but also alot unaddress bugs. Notably the controller battery, controller angle in steam(default grip position is for vive).
The controller design is pretty bad. The angle of grip to trigger is 135 degrees, way too far from a normal gun and unnatural.

wow that is cheap dell visor for 1.2k..and both Rift and Vive price on shopee also quite cheap

my friend using Rift more than a year and my Rift also almost a year..so far no problem at all..the material and build quality are top-notch.
Should be no issues within that 1 year warranty period that not valid over here.
But i'm not really sure about WMR headset quality..maybe try avoid Acer and HP..but for tht price should be ok to try the dell visor

Do u mean u found the solution problem for the angle problem FROM me?

but yea the controllers feels like a cheap TV controller. I did smashed mine once and the outer ring case, joy stick and the plate form for joystick fell. fortunately all clicked back in without issue. therefore the controllers are not as durable as portrayed. It happens as i tried to throw(uppercut maneuver) but i was too close to my table..
I would expect this kind of device to last a year before it has problems.

if i would rebuy another WMR i would take dell visor bcoz i am right handed and lenovo has their heavy cable on the right.. it can get really annoying if u playing archery as ur right hand can be obstructed by the thick cable or hooked by ur headphone wire.
the price on ezbuy also seems suspicious.. even amazon sells for usd237.44. thats MYR944.89 on direct conversion. MYR 1.2k is a narrow profit margin esp with the cost of delivery and currency exchange. Just bcareful as it might be a refurbish set.

yea thats me.. =p
seeings its only 1.2k it might be worth the risk. worst case if u dont like it u can sell it off 2nd hand here. bcoz there isnt official seller here, it should be easier to sell.

let us know once u get ur device.. there are a few custom settings u can do with WMR. notoriously the locomotion in SteamVR. which maybe bannable =_=.

Ill try but..
I cant compare againts the rift bcoz i have a htc vive.
But the resolution bump vive to lenovo explorer is significant. I can barely notice the pixels and screen door effect in wmr. Clarity of text in game has really increased for wmr.
Ghosting isnt noticible to me in wmr
Backlight glow (lcd screen in wmr)can ruin dark games, especially horror games. But ppl may not notice it if they never tried the vive/rift.
Wmr (except samsung odyssey) has fix ipd with fresnel lens. My ipd is 64mm which is similar to lenovo explorer (63mm). If ur ipd is more than. 65, i would warn that the clarity drops in wmr for u.
Fov is actually subjective. Getting ur face closer to the lens does increase fov. I use a thin padding on vive and both now have similar fov.

Overall graphics in wmr is better than htc vive bcoz of the resolution bump. It makes vr more "real". I can easily notice pixel in vive, but ill also forget bout it during game play.
I put on my vive if im going into competitive or pro level gaming. The tracking in wmr is the biggest let down. If u want i can demo how "noisy" the hand tracking is.
If should note that the wmr hmd usually has a dead space from the walls which it would loose tracking. My play space for vive is 3.0m x 2.0m. My wmr can only create a 2.0m x 1.5m of the same room. This is also bcoz the vive lets us create boundries over table or bed.

Sigh I'm torn in between rift and wmr

Want to get wmr for its higher resolution but worry about the controller wont be able to play some of the games I wanted to try , like golf vr. Need to do a lot of backspin on that.

But I see blunty demo play just fine though. Picking shield from the back what not

They do look very convincingly good on youtube right?
But trust me the controller tracking is inaccurate.
Do u have anyone with the rift to compare

Or do u wanna just buy from amazon, they have 30 days return. Now with gst gone, should be cheaper to return.

The way these ppl claim every tracking issue is due to bluetooth. Its BS. Rift and vive never had such big issue with bluetooth. Bluetooth transmit the rotations but the position is generally determined by the front camera.

I tested placing controller on the floor and walk around it. The controller position shifts by few cm as i walk in a circle around it.

I bought a lenovo and was wowed by the resolution but disappointed with their tracking.

Btw price in ezbuy has increased
