I'm at least 800+ each. Need glasses, or else everything blur. FOV with glasses already reduced. With glasses+HMD, my effective FOV is less than those that can wear no glasses.

My recent notes (meant for DK2 owners):

* Rig: Win7 64bit. i5 2500. GTX 750 TI 2GB. Mostly direct mode, not extended mode.

* The new Titans of Space updated for DK2 is really nice. https://developer.oculusvr.com/forums/viewt...hp?f=42&t=12570 75fps, no jank, no judder.

* Sightline: The Chair is a good experience, but I can't get decent enough fps. Lack of fps kills immersion.

* UE4 Rollercoaster: https://developer.oculusvr.com/forums/viewt...=166744#p166744 Can only get 75fps only on medium settings. Good example of how 75fps is critical. A lot more dizzier when moving around with less than 75fps.

* Jump scares on the rift is... extra jumpy. Even things like Totoro suddenly walking out next to you, towering over you was unexpected. http://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/2d...s_updated_plus/

for those who bought or buying oculus rift DK2
you may want to consider this omni-direction "treadmill"

you backed this cyberith recently? the kickstarter phase is not over yet.
anyway, I think it is more expensive than the previous Virtuix Omni.
I remember Virtuix Omni shipping cost is not that expensive.

Not really sure which 1 will be better.

Omni ships from China IIRC. Virtualizer ships from Austria.

Both has it's pro and cons. IMHO neither one of them is better than the other. It really depends on what you want to use it for. I backed the Virtualizer instead of the Omni mainly because it doesn't require you to wear specialised shoes to use it.

cyberith seems good for slow walking motion.
but I think for running motion, it will be quite different from the real running.

another thing about wearing socks, I wonder if the feet will get too hot after awhile?

did you try wearing a thin plastic bag on your feet before?
It gives you low friction and you can slide abit (I think quite similar to cyberith)

According to Engadget, the next wave of Oculus' latest VR headsets will only start shipping in October.

If you pre-order now, probably you need to wait till next year LOL

If you can wait then better wait for the CV1, by that time GPU tech should've caught up to sustain 1440p@90fps.

guys...im planning to get a DK2 just for shitz & giggles (testing).
just a few questions:

1) How much are the taxes & how long does shipping take to reach here? I heard somewhere that they only release it in batches?hx
2) Does the eyepiece support someone wearing glasses (~3xx degree)
3) Is there a local community or fb group on the oculus rift in Malaysia?
