Anyone received Oculus Rift in Malaysia yet?
I received it two weeks ago, but I am in Korea, so that not counted.

Anyway, some comments about it
1) Resolution is really bad, screen door effect is very obvious
2) Field of View (FOV) is really good, no black bars on the side
3) I cannot play more than 5 minutes, because of motion sickness LOL

Anyone else has Oculus Rift would like to share their experience?

360° movies
And this is just the beginning. The future of content possible with the Glyph is limitless. Imagine directors being able to produce 360° movies where you can not only watch actors interact in a cafe but look around the environment as the story unfolds around you.

Add bluetooth for phone call
Imagine integrating an LTE chip into the Glyph and making calls straight from your headset.

Best of all
Add camera in front = google glass killer, truly ironman like HUD
Imagine integrating a camera on the front of the visor and clicking a button to see not just the world in front of you but ultraviolet and infrared signatures in real time.

not going to be oculus rift killer
because this is mainly aimed at watching movie (cinema feel, around 45 degree field of view)
so maybe it will compete with sony hmz-t3

oculus rift is aim at gaming and immersion, about 120 degree field of view
Sony and Valve is planning to release new VR HMD that will compete with oculus rift, but maybe still need to wait few more years.

I got the DK2 yesterday. Tax is 15% around RM 191. The virtual desk really blow me away as it really feel you are inside the virtual world. The tuscany demo give me a major headache when using gamepad to walk around as it's feel real and give motion sickness when your view is not sync to your body.

Going to get Saitek X55 to try out flight and space sim. Should be awesome with head tracking.

I pre-paid in March 2014. I think total is USD 350 plus USD 40 for shipping. Tax is 15%.

The queue now is quite long. If you order now, might take a few months. The virtual world is really convincing for DK2. I try out the desk demo and it really feel you are in the cyber space. The 6DOF tracking is really good. Tuscany demo is impressive but do give me headache if move too fast using the joystick. I think it is because the world looks real that you body feel disconnected with the virtual world when using the joystick to turn. I'm going to try out Elite Dangerous space sim. Just paid USD 75 for the beta version.
