i dunno what u trying to say. maybe u forget what u ask. u said

what the best headphone for allaround music and medium gaming under 200 ringgit??

and thats my answer, hope it help u if not hope it help others. If u dun want to buy any crappy headphone, i suggest u should top up ur budget to RM2k to get a nice and classy sennheiser or bose or whatever
*
you do know that ther IS a diffrence between headphones and headsets right?

i didn't ask for gaming headsets. if id wanted to buy a gaming headset then would just go to the steelseries or logitech website.

now what I asked for was a budget friendly Headphone, good for music and also gaming once in a while.

additionally, all these "Gaming" headsets are shit anyway. Believe me, i tried em

sorry to come off as an ******* but i think youre the one who didn't understand my question.

a good headphone doesent need to be two thousand ringgit...

any sennheiser will fulfill ur requirement. And last time i saw a Edifier at Lowyat All IT hypermart, price only RM169, far more better than the logitech UE 3600 i using now. Quite good. Not sure for gaming.

and of course i know those gaming headset/headphone whatever head is rubbish in sound

me too, finding cheap and nice IEM below RM100.
I heard from a youtube review, a panasonic  RPHJE 120 is quite nice. Only RM30 something. Dunno if malaysia have this model or not.

hmm thanks for your recommendation
but I prefer to get one that is confirmed available from retail in Malaysia
Actually I had my pair from Auvio 2 years ago for RM80 if I not mistaken, the wire is durable and non tangle just that my heavy hand carry luggage squashed that part of the earphone cry.gif
If no other recommendation from sifus here then I am contemplating if I should get another of the same pair sweat.gif

the  Razer Electra looks great. but if compare to the logitech G230, which 1 you take?
*
Never got to try Logitech G230 but most probably mic would be better.
Me? I would go for razer because it has more portability, isolation and also detachable mic.

But I would never go for a gaming headset, for gaming it doesn't make a difference for me.
I'd just go for a good headphone for music rclxms.gif

what the best headphone for allaround music and medium gaming under 200 ringgit??
and my hd668b cable just failed today. have to use the short cable.

any ideas on where to buy a new one?
*
What I realized is in gaming headphones, they usually just have too much bass.
Maybe you could go for Audio Techinca ATH M20x?
Never tried them but read good reviews about it.

My Rig: phone, computer
- Type of usage: music, video editing, gaming
- File format: mp3, flac, aac, ogg
- Music genre: all
- Budget: 0-100, 101-150, 151-200, and 201-250 (give me 4 recommendations based on the 4 tier price)
- Headphone/ earphone type: headphone over ear  (no prefer iEM)
- Other requirements (if any): less than 200 gram (light and comfortable for long usage something similar to Sony MDR-10 comfort), portable.
*
You mean MDR-1R comfort? (I concur its very comfortable)
0-100 - Superlux HD681B/HD668B
101-150 - Superlux HD330
151-200 - Still... HD330. (for me)
201-250 - Audio Technica ATH-M30x
They are nothing like MDR-1R comfort (consider the price), but they are comfortable at their own level tongue.gif

Chill bro... I wasn't around for days but now I'm back for giving recommendation.
To your topic,
Superlux HD330, better cable and also better sound compared to HD668B. rclxms.gif
If you're looking a long replacement cable, can actually look around in Hi-Fi shop for a 3.5mm to 3.5mm extension.

You're welcome. By the way, it is worth that the HD330 to be paired with a better DAC/AMP to unleash its potential. I find it improve and scale well with equipment.

I just said noted that gaming headphones normally have a ton more bass to it cause you wanted something for a bit gaming and music.
Normally the bass over powers everything else and it doesn't sound good with most genre of music.
What makes them good for gaming sometimes might be the big bass feel you get with the explosions.
Hence, I recommended the M20x cause it's more emphasized on the lows and bass compared to M30x or even M40x (from this series).
I haven't really tried out many headphones under 200 but I'm not the only person recommending right? hahah

I see. My local shop doesn't have any demo gaming headset for me to test. Mostly only refer to reviews and recommendations in lowyat forum here.
I am wondering what is the different between normal stereo headset like Edifier K820 (RM69) vs CM Storm Ceres 300 Gaming Headset (RM89)? hmm.gif besides the gaming headset looks more attractive, detachable mic. cool.gif

not sure, but what i hear from my friend he said gaming headset sounds more FLAT than normal headphone due to gaming headset designed more on "distace" "direction" sounds for game.... so yea... i m not sure.

i use normal speaker only for game haha, even for dota2 there is no need direction for that.

maybe this is wrong info because i never own that and test that for compare music and game experience.

GR07 Classic for all rounder music.
Try to use the one which to be worn down with ear hook to reduce any possible microphonics. laugh.gif
