Hi a need a new set of headphones

- Rig : Smartphone/Laptop
- Type of usage : Musics & Movies
- Format : aac/m4a/flac
- Genre : Various (Metal ,R&B, jazz, etc.)
- Budget : 300 - 500 but preferably under 400
- Other requirement : detachable wires/cables

Thx and btw are the vmoda crossfade lp's good?
bcause its on promo price of rm 358
*
The crossfade LP is sub-par. It's better only if you could get the crossfade m80.
If you dont mind the detachable cable + stretching your budget for abit, get the ATH-M50. cool.gif

bro how about the ATH Pro500Mk2? is it better than the m50's?
besides i found it at rm 390 which is a steal (new unit)
*
Pro500Mk2 has somewhat bloated bass, doesn't really have the deep bass like the m50. sweat.gif
Also the charity and details are really recessed.. I would suggest you to get m50 if you wanna choose between them wink.gif

Hello. Between VSonic VSD1S / SteelSeries Flux In-Ear / SoundMagic E10  , which one is better for my pick?
For now my concern is the manufacture warranty and build quality . Afaik all three above are only 1 year warranty which seems quite short. Im not sure how fragile is these budget IEM but I do see that quite a number of people has problem with the SoundMagic E10.

I myself a fan of logitech product, i do see the Ultimate Ears by Logitech, the one within my budget is only ue 350vi which comes with 2 years warranty. But I doubt they perform as well as those i listed above.
So experts here please do advice. Or I should stretch my budget to get Beyerdynamic XP series or Nuforce NE-650M ?
Btw,
Mainly use with my laptop and phone in siggy
- What type of usage (Music most of the time)
- File format used in your source (mp3)
- Genre of music you listen to (pop / country / hip-hop/ electronic music
*
Between your choices, go for VSD1S. but if you're not a fan of sibilance (slight) or balanced sound, you can go for flux. they are much more in the mid-centric area thumbup.gif

thanks for the reply bro. Im definitely not a audiophile myself, so im had almost zero knowledge about these aka noob blush.gif  I tried google, i understand about the sibilance but not the mid centric area. Mind explain it briefly ?

btw usually how long does a earphone will last under a extreme care? 2-3 years ?
*
You're welcome.
I understand. Mid centric means the earphone emphasize the mid area along the spectrum, in order words, it is good for vocal. (pop, rock and some edm)
Extreme care? I usually dump around my SoundMagic PL50 after a listening session, sometimes they just fall off table. The housing spitted off (common for pl50) then i glued them back. Still working well, since then it has been 3.5 years. laugh.gif
I think most of them are able to last very long compared to commercial consumer earphone. wink.gif
I have not experienced breakdown among my headphones, except the HD688B got heavily modded by me then ended up i just cracked up the plastic housing lol. doh.gif

Guys, seems like no one selling Dunu Trident anymore. Well, I go to audio related sub-forum and search for Dunu Trident and most of the sale thread not active anymore. Can someone tell me where to get this IEM?

And any comparison to Shure SE 215 and Hippo Pro One?

Or how about Dunu Trident vs Shure SE 215 vs Hippo Pro One.
*
Dunu Trident? It's more for basshead, even thought there's hint of charity. and compared to other two model you have stated.. it is the only one with dynamic driver.
SE215 does have the detail and rich sounding bass response, also warm and sweet vocal. Meanwhile, Hippo Pro one is sort of neutral sounding, with mid centric emphasis. Both of them having diff drivers too.

Not really a bass head TBH. Even HD600 bass sound good IMO. I think will grab SE 215 LTD. I think the bass will be polite than Dunu Trident bass right?
*
Indeed. the SE215 has accurate bass response, it is not bassy but slightly warm sounding. I would get the ProOne if ain't liking the warm sounding. wink.gif the ProOne also tend to have better charity.

You mean clarity? Impression on bass for SE 215 vs Pro One? So you compared both I suppose right?
*
doh.gif Yes.. clarity, sorry for the typo.
I have heard both of them before, SE215 bass response is rich and textured, meanwhile Pro one extends the bass with speed.
Both from amped source.

What's wrong with HD600? sweat.gif May I know why you want to buy Aune T1? And what headphone? EH 6922 too bright for HD600. I do have plan to sell my T1 but will experimenting entry level DAC along with mid entry amp. I can't say T1 is great or best DAC amp because I only compare T1 with Xduoo TA-01 and Yulong U100. These all are DAC amp, and TA-01 is the best between this RM500 price range. BUT, I face some weird issue with TA-01 DAC, and I suspect windows 8 driver issue?

But the reason I get T1 is because I can use the DAC for my speaker. I still wait for my I 3 Amperex Orange Globe tubes, stuck at post office. doh.gif Most of the owner claim Amperex OG will definitely improve the bright issue, balancing the DAC with bright amp. Now I'm using T1 as DAC and TA-01 as amp, I can say that T1 amp definitely bright. Maybe get T1 then get O2 or Schiit Vali later? This is headphone thread. And I afraid this will make some Nazi uncomfortable. Just shoot me PM anytime.

Any recommendation of IEM that is clear and slight bass. Previously had a SOUNDMAGIC E30 and its seems the wire at soundmagic cannot tahan my rough usage.

Usually i use them during my workout.

My budget is around rm100 and below. Searching for a elastic and durable iem this time. thanks

I would recommended you Superlux HD330 compared to the 660/669. Even the Sennheisers are sub-par. icon_rolleyes.gif

i just bought VSONIC VSD1 . does it improve alot after burn in ? i just compare it with my old sony earphone that comes with sony mp3 package(worth RM 125 ) and i found the sound quality of my sony earphone is better.or maybe my VSD1 is broken ? cause i only heard a slight sound of bass
*
VSD1 doesn't really shove out much bass. Did you forget to turn off your EQ? It might be you prefer bass.

Okey now i dont think 7.1 is important, planning to pair V-Moda Crossfade LP + BoomPro, do you think its a great idea? Any more suitable headphone? Because i really like the size and the design of V-Moda
*
If you wanna get vmoda, you should go for at least a Crossfade M80. smile.gif
the Crossfade LP is not really good in sound quality, bloated bass and not detailed at all doh.gif

Also be noted, they are on-ears; not over ears. wink.gif

Haha this is my friend buying and he wants a new one. Ok I will note down the ATH M50. Any others? It just needs to be the most comfort one in that price range.
*
ATH-M50 is subjective when it comes to comfort, since it is using the pleather pads. Some people find their ears get sweaty/heat up pretty fast, and it is pretty bassy.
I personally suggest AD700x. It is good for anime/movies. Also does well with J-songs. (Jrock/Jpop) cool.gif Suppose your friend watches anime so he would listen to this genre in particular.
