DT880 600ohm is better choice against the 250ohm variance, you're not using a DAC? or only the E7?
I suggest upgrade your DAC/AMP after you got the DT880 600ohm.  smile.gif

Any other more comfort headphone around this range other than dt880?

Yea, only E7, most of the time is desktop->E7->306a

What amp will you recommend? Since it need drive so many different headphone @@ Do I need ask this question on the DAC recommendation thread?

Thx for the suggestion! will checkout Jaben soon.
i listen to pop song, anime song, anime ost.
for anime song, usually it tend towards more bass. but i like "original" sound. dont like bass boasting earphone.
do you have any recommendation for 150 ~ 250 in-ear earphone?

i actually like apple handsfree that kind of sound. but i don think in-ear will have that kind of sound.
*
Sennheiser CX-200 / 300, won't go wrong with Sennheiser.

QUOTE(chabuchabu @ Aug 18 2014, 05:52 PM)
Question : Should I get dt880 ? If yes 250ohm or 600ohm?

rig : cube c30 mp3 player , xiaomi3 , laptop , desktop
amp : Fiio E11 , Fiio E7 , Shoyun 306a , asus U1
headphone : ms2i, q701, AD900X , Denon D2000 driver with cap ayam casing
earphone : Cube F1, tdk-ba200, Vsonic VSD1

format : mp3 (320kbps) , FLAC

music : prefer song with less bass. most enjoy warmth and soft music. But most of the time k-pop, english hit song, anime song

reason for dt880 : wanted to look for a comfortable headphone that I can put on long time also will not feel like it is there. haha. Currently, even AD900X , maximum I only can use it for 4 hours.
*
Have to tried Sennheiser HD 595/598, HD 600/650?

I can wear HD 595/600 for very long hour and listen without feeling fatigue.

And I think E7 have not enough power to bring the best out of DT 880 600 ohm, I will suggest you to go for the 250 ohm version.

I prefer 600ohm version , so there is room for me to upgrade DAC in future to boost it.

I not really sure about sennheiser ... since seems a lot people mention about its dark sounding + "a lot spice" added to the sound etc @@

Sennheiser HD600 is less dark and has very neutral sound. Also very comfortable smile.gif
Well.. i suggest upgrade your dac instead of amp, 306a is decent but E7 is a little bottlenecked.

No idea for the one selling on mi.com, but i suppose they should be selling the latest version.
There's 3 version to be exact, and one latest version variation.
Version 1.0 - No vent hole, silver colour only (avoid this one)
Version 2.0 - There's a vent hole, better finishing, and silver/gold coloured.
2.1 Variance - IF Commemorative Edition, diff package with IF logo,.

For the reviews, just google.. there is plenty of them.

dear all sifus! i just came back from jaben. unfortunately i was very unprepared.. quite a few modals for in-ear, further limit down by sport type, and filtering brand that i have never heard of, i only have very few choice. eventually tested only one from sennheiser.

i am returning with clearer idea of what i want:

- Budget: RM150 ~ RM250 (below 150 is acceptable too if it is highly recommended and has good sound quality)
- Your rig iphone 5 only
- What type of usage jogging, office, walking on the road
- File format used in your source mp3, or youtube video -> mp3
- Genre of music you listen to focus on japanese anime ost. i have requirement for good bass (but must not have enhanced bass)
- Headphone/ earphone type plug-in (got gel that type), designed for spot, so it wont keep falling when i am sweaty.
- Other requirements no

example of songs i need the earphone to perform well:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shOd8UcXSC0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YirTJImBTr8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kh3SOeBK6kY

i was thinking to have an earphone perfect on high mid low and all sort of music. but looking at my budget i understand it is not possible lol.
my priority goes to good bass (again, original bass, not enhanced) because bass give more motivation when running tongue.gif

meanwhile, i will seriously look into VSonic VSD3S, VSonic VSD1S, Audio Technica ATH-IM50, Audio Technica ATH-IM70. biggrin.gif
do you guys think these 4 will be good to do what i want?

Thanks all sifus~

It has good isolation smile.gif
Can barely hear traffic noise on buses and train noise, been using for a few months now~
Depends on volume and which tips you're using though. The comply tips wasn't the best to use while running/traveling. The stock silicon tips are good though

Hi audiophiles sifus, need your recommendations:

Rigs: Nexus 5, occationally laptop.
Usage: listening to songs inside LRT, watching movie on laptop
File format: mp3
Genre of music: Pop, jazz
Earphones: IEM
Other requirements: adequate sound isolation as i use it in the LRT often, preferably with built in mic and audio controls compatible with android.
Budget: below RM150

I'm not a serious audiophile, so my requirement also not very high. Currently looking at Xiaomi Piston or Apple earpods, are they good? And are there any better choices out there? Thank you
*
haa... your situation is just like mine.

i have not tried on earpods, but i took a leap of faith and bought a piston, and i am pretty amazed. in fact i loved it to bits! i am no audiophile too, but this piston gave me a slight taste on why audiophiles are what they are.

low bitrate and poorly encoded musics dont do justice to this piston, only slightly better than my RM25 pasar malam fake beats but the real difference become clear when you try to listen on some high quality re-mastered music on both earphones (i tried audiophile music on youtube. not that youtube codec is good but hey it's free!) and this piston leaves the fake beats in the dust. really, do give it a try. for only rm50 it is really best bang for buck.

**by the way i found out that the volume button didnt work on my motoG and seller said it only works on xiaomi phones. anyway i didnt care much**

just got my xiaomi earbuds today

gosh, really sounds better than sub-RM250 sennheirsers, final audio, AKGs I tried.

my current setup, (all headphones) : Sony MDR-V6, ATH-M40fs, Samson SR850

these babies can go very loud. very very pleasant overall. no signs of harshness, bass are clear (not cheap boom boom). though the low frequencies are not as nice as my V6s, and mids are "slightly" suppressed. though i'm comparing earbuds and my pro studio headphones

so there u have it, short review, nothing technical. Excellent quality for RM50

direct to my microsoft surface. listening to mp3s of 128kbps to 320kbps ranging from classical, opera, rock, no EQ added.

just feel that low is not as tight. still prefer my cx300 but hey.. its rm50! still best bang for buck.

Any review or opinion on Bose QC15 vs AKG K550?

Need a more comfy over head. The AKG k451 I'm using now doesn't exactly gimme the comfort.
