Question : Should I get dt880 ? If yes 250ohm or 600ohm?
rig : cube c30 mp3 player , xiaomi3 , laptop , desktop amp : Fiio E11 , Fiio E7 , Shoyun 306a , asus U1 headphone : ms2i, q701, AD900X , Denon D2000 driver with cap ayam casing earphone : Cube F1, tdk-ba200, Vsonic VSD1
format : mp3 (320kbps) , FLAC
music : prefer song with less bass. most enjoy warmth and soft music. But most of the time k-pop, english hit song, anime song
reason for dt880 : wanted to look for a comfortable headphone that I can put on long time also will not feel like it is there. haha. Currently, even AD900X , maximum I only can use it for 4 hours.

QUOTE(psychoactive @ Aug 18 2014, 05:58 PM) DT880 600ohm is better choice against the 250ohm variance, you're not using a DAC? or only the E7? I suggest upgrade your DAC/AMP after you got the DT880 600ohm. Any other more comfort headphone around this range other than dt880? Yea, only E7, most of the time is desktop->E7->306a What amp will you recommend? Since it need drive so many different headphone @@ Do I need ask this question on the DAC recommendation thread?

QUOTE(Ask_Yip @ Aug 18 2014, 06:08 PM) Have to tried Sennheiser HD 595/598, HD 600/650? I can wear HD 595/600 for very long hour and listen without feeling fatigue. And I think E7 have not enough power to bring the best out of DT 880 600 ohm, I will suggest you to go for the 250 ohm version. I prefer 600ohm version , so there is room for me to upgrade DAC in future to boost it. I not really sure about sennheiser ... since seems a lot people mention about its dark sounding + "a lot spice" added to the sound etc @@

QUOTE(zzzxtreme @ Aug 21 2014, 03:41 PM) just got my xiaomi earbuds today gosh, really sounds better than sub-RM250 sennheirsers, final audio, AKGs I tried. my current setup, (all headphones) : Sony MDR-V6, ATH-M40fs, Samson SR850 these babies can go very loud. very very pleasant overall. no signs of harshness, bass are clear (not cheap boom boom). though the low frequencies are not as nice as my V6s, and mids are "slightly" suppressed. though i'm comparing earbuds and my pro studio headphones so there u have it, short review, nothing technical. Excellent quality for RM50 What music setup you using? music source, amp, dac etc?

QUOTE(psychoactive @ Aug 26 2014, 12:24 PM) I don't exactly mean those good condenser/dynamic mic. It can be some RM10 microphone from your local computer shop It might be your ground looping electrical noises, or EMI from nearby object (mobile phones) ground looping electrical noises <-- what's that ? even my speaker sometime also can heard the electric sound, but those are cable problem , just move around the cable , then the sound is gone. My mobile phone is never near my computer desk...

QUOTE(psychoactive @ Aug 26 2014, 12:42 PM) Ground looping.. actually i dont quite understand but from what i know, its a electrical connection issue, or can say like "dirty" electricity. Sometimes I have it when my family turned on the air-conditional, then I tried to use any battery-based player to avoid that noise lol. Even like feet touching the ground could increase the beep noise. need to use some sort of transformer for filter "dirty" electric from going into our rig then isolate the rig from touching directly to any kind of electric connector ? like isolate it with rubber material? lol ...

QUOTE(psychoactive @ Aug 26 2014, 03:57 PM) I heard from my friend that dedicated power block which source the power to our rigs works well.. gotta try it someday. HD381F - Mid-centric IEM, pretty good for vocal-based tracks. So-so for rock and so on.. Xiaomi Piston v2 - All-rounder IEM, slightly warm sound. dedicated power block? any more details? gonna google it back home later. hmmm
