Dang.
Oh well, found another headphone to probably fill in the gap....well more like squeezing into. Pro700mk2.  laugh.gif
It stretches my budget quite a bit, but I think I can find a way.
So now, new list:
-Audio Technica Pro700 mk2
-Audio Technica M50/x
-Koss Pro DJ100

I like the 2 audio technicas because of their looks and detachable cble. As I understand it the 700 is the far bassier version of M50...which I find quite intriguing.
but honestly, the DJ100 isn't bad looking either. I would certainly be the only one wearing them around my uni that's for sure. laugh.gif How's the bass on the DJ100?
*
No bro, don't get the Pro700 MK2, Its not bassier version of M50. More like self-tuned only for bass emphasis headphone. It is very dark, treble is not detailed and the sounds are congested. I would say the DJ100 has pretty good solid controlled bass but lesser than m50. the dj100 have nice forward vocal, pretty good instrument seperation.

budget: <rm1500
rig: PC
DAC: ODAC
Amplifier: Hippo Cricri

Headphone Type: balance, detail, open headphone

How the sounding if compare with Beyerdynamic dt880
*
If your orchestra music a lot of strings and vocal, imo go for AD900x / DT880 80ohm (since you're using cricri, do not get the 250/600 ohm version unless you wanna upgrade your amp) thumbup.gif
i do think the x1 is suitable as well but its more towards all-rounder.

Better if you could audition the m50 and the koss tongue.gif to see which you're more into.

I have a bass reference to go by, but in IEM form; Future Sonics Atrio. If they have as much bass or even more than that, but without too much loss in everything else, I'm happy. I'm not looking for a headphone for serious monitoring. Anyone have any thoughts on that comparison (M50 vs Atrio)?

Hello guys, need some help in figuring out an IEM for a friend, and another for myself....

For my friend.

- Your rig: Laptop + Xperia S
- What type of usage: Music
- File format used in your source: MP3
- Genre of music you listen to: house/trance/dance
- Headphone/ earphone type: IEM
- Other requirements: Clear and heavy bass
- Budget: RM200. Fixed budget

For me. Flexible budget (not over RM450)

- Your rig: iPod shuffle + Nexus 4 + Laptop + Galaxy S2 (rooted and custom OS, louder than my Lenovo Z400 even while using Dolby Home Theater, but not as clear)
- What type of usage: Music (movies and anime as well, but focusing on music)
- File format used in your source: MP3 + FLAC
- Genre of music you listen to: Everything. Mostly rock, metal,
- Headphone/ earphone type: IEM or Closed Circumaural
- Other requirements: Flat or focused headphones with a good deal of bass.
- Budget: RM300~RM400 flexible budget, though I'm not planning to go over RM450.

I'm planning to buy the ATH M40x but because I travel alot everyday, my brain is telling me to go for a good IEM. But I still can't decide.
So please give me recommendations on both IEMs and a headphone.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

Oh, disregard this, I've made up my mind on the M50x. Though I like bass, I just can't sacrifice too much treble for my Metal music collection.
Also, the M50x seems to have bigger earcups despite smaller drivers.

Hey guys,

Hope you can recommend what Headphone I should get.

To use for iPhone and Laptop (Windows 8)
Usage - movies & music
File format  - all audio and video format eg. mp3, flac, mp4, mkv, avi....
Genre of music - A mix of everything

Requirements - Headphone
                    - In Ear Monitors (IEM)
                    - Bluetooth (works for iPhone and PC)
                    - decent sound quality with some base
                    - doesn't look ugly
                    - doesn't break easily and will last me awhile.

Budget bellow RM300. Don't want to spend too much money.
*
Was looking at the Rapoo H6080 but it doesn't have forward or back button to change tracks. But it is cheap, only RM160.

I'm looking for something similar that can change track.

Anyone have more options that's around RM300 or bellow?

BTW Also considering wired or bluetooth In Ear Monitors (IEM) that has a controller for iPhone

Hi guys, first time here on this thread. Looking for a nice pair with my requirements stated below, please suggest.

1. Budget: +-RM400 (not real budget, if it's something really worth it I can go up to 800 max)
2. Using for casual music listening only, mostly J-pop.
3. Will use for both my desktop PC at home as well as my phone.
4. MUST be over ear, closed type.
5. Mic is not a necessity but would be nice to have to use on Skype on my desktop PC(currently using a cheap RM10 standalone mic).

Hello, I haven't been on here for a while but the last time I was recommended to purchase my Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro.

Problem is, I'm somewhat disappointed in the sound. It's somewhat distant despite the ability to play all genres. However the replacing factor and easy bass manipulation are major pluses.

In any case, I'm looking for a new pair of headphones and here's my requirement info:
Budget: Anything Under RM5000
Rig: Home entertainment system, Ponoplayer, laptop, desktop, MP3 players, Sansa Clip Zip, etc
Usage: Music, gaming, movies, etc
File Format: FLAC (16 bit, 24 bit, etc), MP3, WAV, etc
Genre of music: Rock, classical, house, acoustics, vocals, heavy metal, trance, basically everything.
Headphone: Circumaural headphones (but not too heaty, as my ears sweat easily with the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro)

Thanks in advance!!

Walked into a QuickSilver outlet and compared with my ATH PRO5MK2. Sure, there were people staring at me but I didn't care cool.gif
Don't remember much about the the crusher, but I remember not liking it at all. + that price tag. Although, my friend did tell me he could barely hear anything that was being played even while I was on full volume. So I guess it has good isolation.

Was interested to get the Crusher for the Bass and novelty of having one.

What would you recommend with a budget of about RM300?
