you have to see the size of the earpad and what it is made of, velour full sized is very comfy, while pleather on ear are very... shitty

hi proandroid tongue.gif

so

Audio-Technica ES700 (lively sounds and detailed)
Audio-Technica M50 (Great bass and slightly "trebled" sound)
V-Moda Crossfade M-80 (stylish looking + portable + good sound quality)
Grado SR225i (rock/metal sounds really good )
Creative Aurvana Live! (this one is not even RM500, sounds is the best among these)

among these, which 1 has velour full sized??
sorry but I need your spoonfeeding T_T

I don't think any of those come with velour pads, usually they're sold separately.
And I believe velour pads can go easily rm100 a pair.
+1 for the ATH M50! But the new series M50x should be out soon, and it has detachable cables rclxms.gif
Definitely get the Grados if you're not going to use the heapdhone outside! They have an open design which makes them sound good, but with the only problem of sound leakage. Everyone around you can hear what you are listening to tongue.gif

Me myself, I'm planning to get the M40x + upgrade to velour pads since M50x is over my budget brows.gif

Actually I find that the M50s are a little hyped, I'm not saying they're not good, but the recessed mid and emphasized bass are not my thing, this might appeal to some listener's though. The Creative Aurvana Live! has a more neutral signature with just the right amount of bass, and most of all the incredible soundstage for a close-back, but isolation is sub par sweat.gif built quality is not that great either, compared to the M50's which are built like a tank

The Creative Aurvana Live! sounds absolutely amazing for it's price, I feel that they're quite underrated. I think more people should give these cans a chance smile.gif

Hi guys, need recommendation for a headphone similar build like Audio Technica ATH-T200. Budget is around 200+

If possible a 'higher spec' than Audio Technica ATH-T200 biggrin.gif (sorry I noob at audio things)
*
Hmm, at the price range, you may have a look at ATH-TAD300 or ATH M35 biggrin.gif

But ATH M35 doesn't have that rubber support thingy to place on your scalp. I don't mind up my budget nod.gif

Been looking at this post: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3146771/all
Asked around in a lot of shops (haven't asked jaben yet) and most shops are telling me they'll have stop early to mid next month.

Currently using ATH PRO5MK2, but the detachable cable and flat sound response on M40x is too tempting to not look at sweat.gif

Dang my stock htc earphones went kaput and now I need a new pair.

budget: <rm250
rig: phone + pc
usage: 80% music 20% others
format: flac, mp3, video files
music genre: everything so the sound should be balance, not too bassy and not too soft.

remarks:- Prefer coziness over audio quality (bought shure se215 b4 and then sold it back due to comfort problem)
-This will be my 'on the go' earphone so nothing cumbersome

Thanks in advance smile.gif

mee a151 - really comfortable, and extremely detailed for an iem of the price range.

i tested out my friends one, which he got for 220rm, which i believe is the standard price you can get it. and it comes with a carrying case.

sound is not bass heavy, but the bass sounds really good. mids and highs are really good as well, overall, it's probably the best balanced armature you can get for the price.
