Your rig: Laptop / MP3 player / Tablet Type of usage: Music / Gaming / Movies Format: MP3 / FLAC / VBR Genre: Rock / Progressive Electro / Orchestra / Techno / Metal / Classical Type of headphone: Over The Ear, Noise-Canceling Budget: < RM600 Remark : Used mostly at laptop (one location). Needs to be durable for being placed in a backpack. Hope you can present options that are noise-canceling and non noise-canceling. Note that bass is important to me. Thanks in advance for your opinion This post has been edited by BrutalLegend: Jun 5 2013, 03:08 PM

QUOTE How about vmoda m80 , very durable and light meant for portability. About ur budget but its on ear. Only 1cable connected I had a friend recommend the exact same one to me, though I'm gonna have to decline. I always found the on-ear experience a bit painful and uncomfortable after a couple hours. Really gunning for over-the-ear headphones. Thanks though Priority for me is the over-the-ear & good bass. Getting noise-cancellation would be an added bonus. Any other recommendations with a budget of "< RM600"? This post has been edited by BrutalLegend: Jun 5 2013, 03:45 PM

QUOTE Okay, but regarding the comfort of M80 although its on ear its supposed to be very comfortable, no sweaty ears. Anyway, how about Audio Technica M50 ? They fulfill your requirements and budget. But it doesnt have noise cancellation. But rather a very good isolation. Hmm, i'm still gonna have to pass on M80 mate. The Audio Technica M50 did catch my eye before this, but there are so many mixed reviews about it. Some people say its completely amazing, but somehow I just don't know whether to trust the bass response in it. Some reviews say its not enough or that it requires a mini-amp to help it out. In some scenarios they recommend getting an app to help adjust its settings. Personally noise isolation is off no importance to me. Noise cancellation is way more important anyday. I've already put the Audio Technica M50 under consideration. Hoping for bass to go BOOM BOOM BOOM~ & i'm not an audiophile junkie (no offense to others) Any other recommendation for "< RM600" & what would you recommend for "< RM500"? Thanks loads for your help mate. This post has been edited by BrutalLegend: Jun 5 2013, 05:20 PM

QUOTE Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro rclxms.gif The Beyerdynamic Custom One are awesome headphones but just way to out of my price range. Over The Ear, Noise-Canceling is key to me and so is the pumping bass. Looking for bass pumping headphones that is below RM500 if possible. Something inclined to listing to Hardwell & Swedish House Mafia but still able to listen to rock like Disturbed/ Metallica / The Vines.

Comparing Sennheiser HD 380 against the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro?
Which would be better on its own (no extra amps or anything) and plugged into a laptop for gaming & this range of genre music: Rock / Progressive Electro / Orchestra / Techno / Metal / Classical
Note: Bass is very important

Hello, I haven't been on here for a while but the last time I was recommended to purchase my Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro.
Problem is, I'm somewhat disappointed in the sound. It's somewhat distant despite the ability to play all genres. However the replacing factor and easy bass manipulation are major pluses.
In any case, I'm looking for a new pair of headphones and here's my requirement info: Budget: Anything Under RM5000 Rig: Home entertainment system, Ponoplayer, laptop, desktop, MP3 players, Sansa Clip Zip, etc Usage: Music, gaming, movies, etc File Format: FLAC (16 bit, 24 bit, etc), MP3, WAV, etc Genre of music: Rock, classical, house, acoustics, vocals, heavy metal, trance, basically everything. Headphone: Circumaural headphones (but not too heaty, as my ears sweat easily with the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro)
Thanks in advance!!

QUOTE(E1 - AKG @ Mar 26 2014, 10:44 AM) the only way for less heat is with open cans, are you fine with sound leakages and virtually no isolation For me the sound is most important. If it leaks its a definitely a no. The heat is not a big priority on my list to be honest.
