QUOTE(cyh03176 @ Feb 12 2014, 09:57 PM) Bought the amperior, had been using it for an hour, the sound is thin out of the box, maybe needs burn in? The sound is balanced and detailed though usually headphone will be stable after 200 hours burn in. better play in the volume that is half of the normal playing volume. Then can slowly increase after 2-3 days. Fiio E12 itself is clean and thin. So that would affect also. Can also adjust the sound through DAC and cable. |

QUOTE(SoulRex @ Feb 12 2014, 10:35 PM) Vsonic GR series is more punchy bass than VSD series. Quite clean sound and balance. ATH is comfortable but lesser bass. If you are considering IEM with stronger bass, since you list out BE version, probably can go for vsonic. GR06 is within your budget as well. |

Not so sure about Sonic Gear EarPump PRO as I never try before. It's not really a popular model among audiophile I think, at least for HK, China and Taiwan.Sound magic E10 is not bad as well. Not so sure how does it compare to GR02. Never audition GR02 but tried VSD1 before. VSD1 is also quite safe though bass not so strong for Rock and metal. Overall review not bad. GR06 is higher range than both. This post has been edited by liquidgal: Feb 13 2014, 01:51 AM |

QUOTE(SoulRex @ Feb 12 2014, 09:51 PM) hi all sifu, for basshead, should i ought for Beyerdynamic XP 1, XP 3 or Vsonic GR02 BE??? HelloA max budget of RM200Â I've tried all 3 of the Beyerdynamic XP series, but haven't tried out the Vsonic IEMs yet. Out of the three from the XP series, I would say the XP 3 is much more clearer even in terms of bass. I felt the XP1 can't handle the bass at top volumes. I use Sony MDR-EX310SL which is also for 200, and it has good bass. Probably not for bassheads but for a budget IEM, the bass is really good and the mids/highs are also good. I would have recommended it would be really hard to find a seller, or even to test it out. Hahah Or the MDR-XB60EX/S might sound right, it has some good bass. Hi people. I need a HEADPHONE recommendation.
I listen to metal, rock and all its sub-genres. I want it to be portable as well. I also don't listen very loudly. Rarely do I reach 50% volume for any music player I use. My sound preference. I already own a Shure SE215-SPE and an AT ATH-IM50 for IEM. I don't listen analytically when I'm out and about, and for my headphones I would like them to be bass monsters compared to my IEMs. So I got many choices open for me. I'm even tempted to buy things I won't normally look at. So I have a few in my mind but I would like your opinion and any other suggestions. - V-Moda Crossfade LP (if possible LP2) - V-Moda M80 - Audio Technica M50 For the M80 I do need to let go of one of my IEMs (the IM50 I think), but it is an over-ear. I prefer around-ear but I've had a Grado SR60i before and it was alright. Also it is portable and sounds comparable to the less portable M50 (or so people say). Nothing touching the RM800 price please. So basically a lot of bass, but with enough detail to let me listen at moderate volumes. Kinda like a Future Sonics Atrio (which I also used to own) but in headphone form. |

Thanks @VagueConcerns, amperior is on ear and i found it to be very uncomfortable, but now it is very comfortable after i clamped it on the box it came in overnight @vanhui95, m50x is way more expensive than rm600. you can only get m50 with rm600. so, give the sennheiser amperior a try |

Hi, just tried out the following in ear phones at hong kong Mingoheadphone
Shure 535 : the ear buds blocked too much area from the driver, the sound became bloated or weird, and weak bass Shure 846 : Sounds good, but my sister says too hard to wear, which is very critical for her. Sounds close to my headphone, D2000 which is very good, even better detail than mine Sennheiser IE800 : everything is good, sound is very smooth, bass is powerful and soundstage, instruments and details is good but the vocals are too backward, even with amplifier (music fidelity, forgot which model available in the shop), perhaps this is the downside of single driver IEM? After listening to IE800, the IE80 became nothing, so definately won't choose that. Anymore recommendations? Budget, prefer around RM2000, but able to pump more if the sound really good Also tried the D600, the pads are soooooooooooo comfortable and thick, and the driver sounds similar, even a little bit more detailed when played with my note 3 too,not sure if amplified, i don't know why people say the new product lines of denons are bad and the driver of my D2000 already legendary. Can anyone tell me is there any decent headphones store in LY Plaza?
And what would you guys introduce for <200 Only smartphones and laptop Prefer Japanese brand, or any model from any brand which emphasis mids like the Japanese brand does. I tried before Beyerdynamic XP series. IMO the bass is too strong even for XP3. |

I forget what model is it but it's like over ear about RM240. TBH thhe sound is quite ad coming out from smartphone. I want a easy driven driver like most in-ear and yeah I forget to say that I want an in-ear. I've tried a Kipsch and the treble is killing me. One of the I-E that impress me a lot is Sony XBA-40. I've never heard something with amazing details and excellent balance. |

QUOTE(nisbahmumtaz @ Feb 10 2014, 12:20 AM) - Just a laptop, and occasionally DS and PSP Still no recommendation??- General use, music + movies + gaming... all that - Mostly MP3, got some FLAC too - Game OST consist of too many genres - Closed, but open to a lot of suggestions - Build quality is number one priority, but I really don't know of anything as strong as mdr v6 at a price of... - Budget shouldn't be more than RM100. I'm just getting something to wear around the house. A quote on open headphones, for use during outside would be good too. But I think I'll just get portapros for open.
