hie guys, organizing a bali trip for my family of 4. Planning to go in oct 16 and come back on oct 19...

Do you guys think it's enough time to at least go around in bali? Mum wants to shop while dad wants to have a relaxing time.

Is it ok to book through Air Asia's Go Holiday or should i book directly for flight and hotels?

If you want to go to most of the places in Bali, then 4 days is not enough... especially if your mum wants to do alot of shopping. 5 days should be good as one full day can be used for shopping around Sukawati or Ubud market. If you like to go around everywhere and save on the travelling time, then u should book directly for different hotels in different locations.

i'm going to bali on 27-30 aug with a fren. Booked via PYO travel early this year.

I'm going there 1st time, so i booked the packaged tour. Didnt know i need to pay USD9.00 per pax as tips to local guide. And also rupiah 150k per pax as airport tax on departure.

I plan to change currency at Mid Valley, i saw 2 shops at the LG floor food place, near KFC.

I dont know how much to change, cos I only wana spend money on food (not high class places, normal shops will do) and do little shopping for clothes, bag, shoes. Other than tat, all the entrance fees to the popular tourist places are included in my tour package already.

How much is the food cost there? for normal plate of rice, drinks, etc? is the clothes, bags and shoes reli cheaper than Msia?

i know the rupiah notes are quite big, got 10k, 50k, 100k. can recommend how many 10k, 50k or 100k notes to change?

Thanks!!!!

i think u can only get 50k and 100k here, as they normally don't keep so much small change.

if you are non-muslim.. food should not be a problem for you as there is many cheap restaurant or stall in bali, easily you can get below rm5 per person..

however if you are muslim, then you will be having difficulties to find cheap halal food there.. we spend around rm10 per person for a decent 'halal' food during our trip there..

clothes, bags and shoes are really cheap there.. and if you are into art stuff... bali is the right place for you..

@ sugarbaby:
food prices depends on where you eat and what kind of food. On average it would be between RM5 - RM10 per meal. Basically it's more or less the same as food prices in the klang valley.

Sugarbaby when you're back do let us know how Wina hotel is. I'm going to bali again in January and am considering this hotel. Stayed in Nusa Dua the last time and the cab fees were so expensive going into Kuta!

Anyway as for massage places, you can't negotiate, its fixed price and all their prices are shown on the board. It's quite cheap too, about RM15-RM20 for a foot massage and about Rm20-25 for body massage. Just walk around kuta and you'll find these affordable spas.
