QUOTE(stimix @ Sep 18 2008, 03:25 PM) Whoaa..Besakith & bck to Ubud is realy far...for sure the driver reluctant.. yeah, i have thru the whole thread. need to to beware of "con men". anyway, i sms wayan, he gave me the same reply as he would prefer to skip besakhi. Although Bersakith is better but beware of the so called "expensive MUST hv porter", umbrella & sarong rental. |

QUOTE(rvn_rvn @ Nov 25 2008, 03:51 PM) the blue taxi is called BLUEBIRD.. when i went to jakarta, thats the only guys who charge according to meter and fairly... beware in indo everyone will try to screw u.. its like chow kit on a grand scale! here is how the bluebird taxi looks like..and this is how Wayan looks like. Wayan doesn't know where is Lia's Cafe, so yo u guys better do ya research on the location. One more thing, make sure wayan drives u on all the days. I did have a slight bad experience, coz Wayan said he was not free, so ge have to pass to his friend to guide us around..his friend $ucks.Added on November 25, 2008, 10:25 pm QUOTE(jojo_g2 @ Nov 25 2008, 12:59 PM) ive got no idea, i havent called or sms'ed him cuz, ill only be going on feb 09. QUOTE(stimix @ Nov 27 2008, 12:18 AM) U probably missed my earlier posting of the recipt from Lia's Cafe & other surrounding restaurants.. when i went i ...i tot wayan oredi know the place..but too bad he didn't. for those that wanted to go to this cafe..write down the address and phone number...if your driver dunno how to go, pass the number to the driver![]() Added on November 27, 2008, 11:03 am QUOTE(stimix @ Nov 26 2008, 11:59 PM) No need. I was informed & told that M'sian license are valid throughtout ASEAN countries (Not sure those left hand drive such as Vietnam & Philippines) that night, wayan didn;t drove us..but his friend did, i ask him to drive down..but he kept insisted that there is no more stalls further down..so it was my mistake..I rented & drove in Bali & Thailand b4...not a problem & even stopped by Balinese policemen....just show him the rental documents, your license& pastport Added on November 27, 2008, 12:02 amProbably so but Lia's cafe is located on the same row as the famous Ramayana...probably can tell him to drive till the end of Jimbaran beach because the seafood complex is located at a dead end road.
