Sugarbaby when you're back do let us know how Wina hotel is. I'm going to bali again in January and am considering this hotel. Stayed in Nusa Dua the last time and the cab fees were so expensive going into Kuta!

Anyway as for massage places, you can't negotiate, its fixed price and all their prices are shown on the board. It's quite cheap too, about RM15-RM20 for a foot massage and about Rm20-25 for body massage. Just walk around kuta and you'll find these affordable spas.

ranked 66# in tripadvisor, and that should've told you something about that place. Some say its good and some says its bad. One thing's true, the water there is Extremely salty.

my two cents on the wina.

kinda, ruined my valentine.

Gee...at RM26 u still complaining..Even at RM80 after adding the aircon, I still willing to pay!  doh.gif

I pay about RM 55 per night, a triple room at Bamboo Bed & Breakfast Inn. Stayed for 3 nights there.
It was really nice. Ensuite. Air-conditioned. Very new. And I like the toilet very much. Haha.
Though the renovation was going on, it didn't bother me as I went out before the work started. Haha.

I always rely on tripadvisor as well smile.gif But then again I've seen a few people blog about this hotel and so far it seems pretty good that's why I need confirmation from others who have been there smile.gif

Sorry to hear about your ruined valentine, there's always next year biggrin.gif You could consider Nusa Dua area next time - very quiet and an excellent spot for a romantic holiday smile.gif)

har, har, I want ubud next time, preferbly with my own mini pool....

well, about the Wina, i suppose it is in a way, okay, but to me, it really did not work out. The basic fundamentals of bed(broken), bath(salty water), and rest(mosquitos), I just could not accept it. I'd actually slept bettter in a RM70 AB Motel in langkawi than this place. Food wise, is okay i guess, but it's just like any other ordinary buffet style breakfast anywhere. And with lots of guests, then you'll have to queue for the food and you'll have a hard time looking for forks and spoon. Location wise, its kinda really a tad bit too far from matahari and central kuta, you could walk to Poppies I and II but, with the walk there and back, you're gonna be really tired. And if you take the cab, they're just gonna circle around and cost you some $$ that's just not worth the distance. So, my advice is either you get a hotel nearer to central kuta or.. you go Legian at least in legian your cab fare would've been worth it. I've stayed in Kuta twice, and I would actually much prefered my first stay there which is the ALL SEASON. hm... actually all season is in legian. hehe..

for 4d3n, u might need to spare rm300-400 for the local transport and driver, rm100 for bali airport tax, balance for dinning and shopping. should be enough if u spend the money cautiously. be careful when u dine in jimbaram, else u need to eat maggi for the rest of your trip wink.gif

the question back to you is which area that you wan to stay? you can actually book via asiarooms.com. The credit card exchange rates depends on your bank rate.

Planning to go Bali this January 2010, n probably staying at Villa Diana (Flight + Hotel Air Asia). Got few questions here, redundant maybe:

1. Bali airport tax, didn't it included when we pay to AirAsia?
2. Does taxi rate would double if my flight arrive at 8pm? or would be the same (as mentioned in the 1st page by TS) irregardless what time even early in the morning 6am?

Greetings from Bali. Been here for 3 days already. So far, the highlight was seeing Manta rays at Nusa Penida. My first time so quite excited to share the news with those who are into diving. Hehe.

To answer your query for no 1, yes there is a fee when you leave and it's not included when you buy the tickets. This I didn't know and I barely had enough money to pay so we paid in rupiah for one person and for my hubby, we ended up paying in ringgit @ RM60 which was a total ripoff!!

Oh yes, 2 of my room booking was done via asiaroom, surprisingly great rates! Other hotels, Alila Ubud, The Laguna and The Westin, booked direct from the hotels.

ok, cheapest room in tepi sawah is batuan villa, price is usd65 but the service is very good and free transfer to ubud town is on demand basis, meaning that u can go and come back anytime u like, just let them know about 30 minutes in advance. more details here: http://tepisawahvillas.com/villa_categorie...ex.php?idCat=11

u can book through silky as she can give u the best rate: silkyphang@yahoo.com
but always remember to countercheck the price from the hotel direct to ensure u get the best rate.

btw, i've just came back from bali yesterday. so if anyone needs any info, pls let me know thumbup.gif thumbup.gif
