most important is the after sales n service.
i had spoke to dell tech spport for 3 hours to solve my problem but try no luck(fixed my self thanks to bro HORNs)
but dell tech will sent a USB KEY to install whole OS n driver for me..just recieved a call from dell for the delivery USBKEY 2 hours ago..all this happen within 24 hours..i guess not many computer brand can do that.

I could be wrong. But Alienware seems to be on the last train when it comes to upgrading their drivers towards the latest preferred Windows OS. 8.1 has been out for a while now, they should at least update their drivers to the latest version. Or I could be just ignorant, not knowing where to look for them. Most drivers from Dell.com are age old.

I'm having trouble with HD Graphic 4600 also. Probably the old driver doesn't work well with Windows 8.1 PRO. Are you on that OS as well?

Any one has upgraded to newest nvdia driver?

I upgraded it and upon several hours of gaming i notice huge performance drop. Verify with temp and it seem okay only. It dropped and raise and drop back on off.

I installed Dell official driver just now and plan to test it again tonight.

Btw, I am using cudaHashcat which require a lot of raw gpu computing power and notice Dell driver perform 50% better than nvidia driver.....

Looks like only Dell official is optimize for AW, gona test it for gaming tonite and report back.

Never had a successful deal with him.. in my opinion his prices are high. Off course it is cheaper than Dell online but if you fish into forums and get lucky.. you can find a better deal. smile.gif

you're talking about price. if you are comparing price only, yeah there are a lot of season sellers that can offer much lower price (but that normally means it's an one-off deal, you will never see them again; and most of the times, they wanna let it go fast)

imo @putochip123 is one of few sellers that has good reputation here. to me, he's trustworthy (delivered according to what he promised, without useless excuses every time). i have dealt with him recently. i will deal with him again.

check out his facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/DellAlienwar...216581081751731

he just declared that the units are Malaysia sets. (you can always verify that with dell)

aw can be customized. it's not surprising if he sells a unit that has different specs than stock.
