QUOTE(jason_chee @ Jul 27 2013, 12:23 PM) Depends on quality. The cost of 2x2 porcelain tiles have a lot of range. If standard one, the 1x1.5 ceramic is about close to 1.5-2 times cheaper. For such nice house n concept of newer dev or township, I believe dev should give standard 2x2 porcelain tiles. It doesnt cost much since the labour rate is same. Ceramic is old fashion, although good quality ceramic looks very nice and solid if the house is nicely design. Not entire of the 1885 sq ft is needed for porcelain esp kitchen area, bathrooms and balcony ( if there is ) , I believe, it just requre additional RM 10k-15k for dev to convert all ceramic tiles to 2x2 porcelain tiles. Maybe dev get the ceramic tiles in bulk much more cheaper due to lesser demand? If we have to convert ourselve as owner, the 2x2 tiles entire unit excluding spaces used for wall, kitchen n bathrooms, the tiles would cost us at least 420-450 pieces of 2x2 tiles and to include the labour costof ceramic tiles tearing n new tiles labour, which ultimately cost us RM 20-25k. |

QUOTE(hooi_jd @ Jul 26 2013, 01:35 PM) God table can put against the wall next to the staircase/store room, so the table is facing entrance. But then the storeroom door will need change to push to open instead of pull to open. Yes, I was planning to put there as well. But I was thinking of seal the current storeroom door, then open a new door access from the ground floor bedroom. What do you think? |

QUOTE(Chris Chew @ Jul 27 2013, 02:01 PM) Depends on quality. Any chances we can have a group request for upgrades packages for tiles? Normally developer can upgrades packages for power points, window types etc ... I don't see why there's a problem with tiles since mr2 is still in its early stage. The cost of 2x2 porcelain tiles have a lot of range. If standard one, the 1x1.5 ceramic is about close to 1.5-2 times cheaper. For such nice house n concept of newer dev or township, I believe dev should give standard 2x2 porcelain tiles. For investment purpose, it definitely gives you the best bang for buck as u can flip @ better price/easier. For own stayer can save more job/hassle of renovation. I'm not really active in forum, so I hope someone can start a group request.... Hopefully it materialize |

What do you think? unless u plan to extend the kitchen to that room, else it seem weird to access storeroom from room instead of from majn hall. Just my 2c... |

Consent or approval? From management / vendor or developer?if need to add during reno, nd to hack da wall? n there's no power point for water heater in da toilet downstairs Add power point sure need to hack the wall before we finally conceal it. Whenever wall hack is do, under DMC, we must seek approval from the vendor, which is developer or appointed management and pay the reno deposit. This is to guide owners the house rule and inform us, the spot of the piping, cable and concrete which is the area to avoid upon wall hacking. No issue for this. Now only I noe there is no heater power point in the downstair toilet. Needs few hundred bucks to get this done. |

The issue is, the land is too huge now and Phase 1. We very much unable to configure ourselves the exact plot of the land is which row unless inform by developer or architect. |
