Yupp..my younger brother 1997 Civic EK (2 door) CVT sound also not so intrusive. Mind u that was a 1997 manufactured car..which in this case is more refine in term of CVT technology

i think proton should use better sound proof material.. the lousy recycle-cloth-fibre-shit like stuff just doesnt work, at all.

Yupp..actually the engine/CVT sounds that's obviously heard..tire & wind noise on the other hand, is being insulated quite well

Does the CVT get quietter over time? For my car, 1 year (I've already got new road tax & insurance) and 28,000 km, I do not find the CVT sound intrusive.

Is it really quieter or I've noise cancelled it in my head?

the tire roadnoise is pretty bad imo compared to rival cars in the category. the soundproofing on the floor and wheel archs is pretty bad.

i dont mind the CVT whine, its kindda cool cool2.gif

The Japanese definitely has an edge when it comes to CVT compared to Europeans because their kei-cars benefits greatly from it.

Our VT2 and VT3 are derived from ZF's VT1F, which started life in 2002 Mini One and MG TF. ZF eventually decided to focus on conventional automatic transmission instead so development ceased.

Huh... guess the CVT sound doesn't bother me. I usually drive with a/c in low and no radio.

Hey guys,

Good Morning. My car just reached 1 age old on 11 May 2013. I have change my both Preve headlamp light bulbs within 1 year.

left light bulb change at age 9 months old at outside non-proton panel workshop which cost me RM25 perpiece(brand philips) and not bright enough.

right light bulb change last saturday at Proton Dealer (brand philips) more brighter and only cost me RM19.

RM19 philips perpiece is a standard price across all Proton Dealer and Branch workshop.

Should admin update the headlamp light buld pricing at the front page to alerts other compare the price before change at Non Proton workshop?

Hi guys,

Anyone ever experience this situation:-

During uphills I switch to S and press the oil pedal steadily to see the speed.

It seems it can only reach 80 to 85 km /h max.

fyi the car is just 1 week and not yet go for the first service.
