QUOTE(asnira @ Apr 11 2013, 09:52 AM) hi guys.. my lil sis is about to buy this preve.. not cfe one.. what do you guys say? any disappointing buyer? Exec version lack of power...car weight too heavy to rely on the campro engine without CFE to move.

QUOTE(xtremesportx @ Apr 14 2013, 07:02 PM) Hi all, Just to my preve ifam auto exec solid white. Today's the 5th day driving mileage just reach 112km, pump a full tank, notice when braking, doesn't matter fast speed or at 60km/hr there's this duk duk sound! What's wrong?? Then the engine feels really sluggish, unresponsive like not moving, have to press the pedal deep to get response and the engine will whine and roar then the car will jerk a little then move. Engine noise pretty loud n harsh. Izzit supposed to be like that?? Then the 3rd thing I realized is the fuel indicated, showing 13.8L/100km!! WTF?? I pumped full petrol when left 1 bar costs RM72 n then I changed the indicator to show the mileage. At first it shows 591km then when start moving, stop by few traffic lights, look at the indicator again and it kept on decreasing until almost 510km left! Is this normal?? Someone help!! What is your chassis no?

QUOTE(Maapu @ Apr 15 2013, 12:05 PM) So, i just came back after 1k service... I mentioned them of few problems and they couldnt solve any of those... 1. Brake sound (the mech verified that disc bengkok ady) 2. Gearbox console no light (is this normal for exec cvt ?) 3. Glove box very hard to close. So the mech advised me to bring the car to COSE Shah Alam. But i have one doubt, will they replace the disc or just skim it ? How do i make sure that they change the disc ? Snap photo b4 and after change disc brake? This post has been edited by Gigabit: Apr 15 2013, 08:56 PM

QUOTE(Maapu @ Apr 15 2013, 09:32 PM) Actually what i wanted to ask is, how to make them to replace the disk brake rather than skimming ? I wouldnt want them to skim because i just got the car last week, so that means the disc already warped before the car is given to me (manufacturing defect)... Take photo before changing, where it shows it is warped..and then make sure you do not leave sc and ensure that the disc brake is replaced rather than skimmed

QUOTE(drifit @ Apr 15 2013, 11:14 PM) kind of scary experience getting this Preve. It is your choice, you want excellent car driving experience, ride and handling...take proton You want problem and issue free car, get something else...best get the Completely Build Up (CBU) type car and not Completely Knocked Down (CKD) type car because our Malaysian car assemby workers have no passion in their work and our vendor give crappy parts.

QUOTE(earthdome @ Apr 19 2013, 06:18 AM) actually i dont mind the noise anymore. but i can't wind up the window unless i did it manually which is quite hard also Which is why i prefer to DIY all problems that can be resolved for myself because taking leave to go sc to fix the problem and then the problem recur again is a freaking waste of my leave and time.

QUOTE(hbgoh57 @ Apr 19 2013, 01:08 PM) Did u DIY your engine mount as well. I did DIY for the following 1) Engine Mount 2) Apply silicone at gaps at the front windshield plastic to prevent windnoise (apparently, proton use cheap stationery double sided tape which is crap and i had to reapply using 3M double sided tape) 3) Apply silicone at plastic garnish at rear left passenger side.(went to SC to change rubber lining once and still got wind noise, later found out it is because of broken connector inside the plastic garnish, thus got wind coming in). Not confident to ask SC to do the rectification, technician memang tak mahir and best part you will see scratches and dents after they do the rectification. They do not have passion in their work.

QUOTE(hbgoh57 @ Apr 19 2013, 02:42 PM) Can't agree more on the bolded part..they even make more difficult now by not doing it own weekend or if u send your car in the afternoon.thats why we need to depend on ourselves to do it or by forums.why did u use for engine mount?silicone as well? I noticed mine vibrates especially when moving on a slop at low speed.. Buy 8mm fuel hose...forgot the length already...make sure enough to do four sides. It will stop vibration but can reduce a bit.
