means it was working at first then suddenly not working properly?

what is ur model of the router?
*
It's because of Astro IPTV.. stupidly this ASTRO wont work at all without internet connection and if i use ASUS as router, i can connect to internet but my ASTRO will not display. If i revert back to technicolor then astro appears.

Stupidly i still need to also use the satellite cable and also the internet cable for astro in their so called hybrid mode but actually without either one.. it's useless.

I really don't understand why they do it this way. I thought by having IPTV i would be able to move the decoder easily as long as i have the CAT 5/6 cable but that's not how it works...

Wondering .. why my speed this morning stuck at 5Mbps and not at 10Mbps .. anyone having the same problem?

Update: I was using my own router .. so, I connect the technocolor router back .. and I'm getting 10Mbps back .. it is either 1) I'm getting different IP address, hence different speed 2) my setting is incorrect 3) they've a way to check what router I'm using and throttle the speed accordingly

Stupid me .. for some reason, I had mine connected to the old unifi port and using unifi vlanid 500 .. and for some reason, we can use our maxis logon id on unifi line .. hahaha.. so, reconfigured my huawei and router and now back to normal speed again.

Today I went to Maxis at KLCC to register for Home Fibre Internet Package 10Mbps RM148.
Last month, I went to TM Point in Jalan Raja Chulan a few times to request and check whether there is a port available for my apartment. Once, I was told it is available, I request for a print screen to print out on a hardcopy so that I have the details.
I went to Maxis KLCC to ask if I can connect the internet package in my apartment and with the hardcopy from TMnet, I got confirmation that it is available.

When I went to register for the Home Fibre Internet Package 10Mbps RM148, I specifically requested that I do not want Astro or the telephone. I want only 101% internet connection. In theory I should only pay RM148 per month.

Hi, Maxis Home fibre newbie here. I just installed Maxis Fibre + Astro last week (no phone line). So far so good, wifi quite strong even at the farthest room.

Anyway, wanna ask,

1) to increase download speed from filehosting sites (netload, uploaded, ryushare), can i just change the dns or do i have to change to public ip as well? hmm.gif

2) received quotation from ADT (alarm system). To install the alarm, they need extra RM300 for connection to their centralized system because i'm using Maxis Fibre (if unifi, no extra $$), what gives?

Thanks guys.

I am not from BBB.
Speed is as per my siggy..
but can confirm that ping to Dota2 server is around 80ms to 100ms.

you said no phone line. Meaning, you already have a separate TM land line?

Hi guys, new Maxis Home Fibre user reporting in.

I'm absolutely astonished by the 20Mbit/s speed, it was quite a jump from Streamyx 2Mbit/s.

So far I'm really satisfied with the performance.. hopefully they won't implement any quota >< otherwise it would be painfully useless..

How much is the ADT system? Why they need charge additional RM300 for connection using Maxis and FOC for UniFI?

Maybe they mistaken by Maxis its mean mobile (gsm). GSM module usually do cost around RM300. Try mentioning to them this is maxis home line not celular line. But you said no have no phone line? Does maxis fiber not come with voip phone?

oh, when i said no phone line, i meant i didn't take the Talk package (so no voice call). Just internet+IPTV. My house had no line before, so they pulled a fibre line into the house.

I took the maxis home fiber without VOIP. I think i mentioned to him it's maxis fibre, but i'll double check again.
