Since Unifi relocation is free now, I will remain with Unifi and slowly checkout with other Maxis users in my area. Thanks for the advise guys.

hi everyone,

Does anyone able to get their tplink TL-WDR4300 to work with Maxis FTTH ? I manage to setup VLAN Internet 621 at LAN2 and I try to setup VOIP in LAN1/3/4 but VOIP is not working at Thompson router.

My setup is :

ONT (Huawei HG8240) LAN2 --> TL-WDR4300 (WAN) Configure LAN2 (Vlan 621) and LAN4 (Vlan 822) --> Thompson (WAN) with VOIP Vlan 822 from TL-WDR4300

I could not get my VOIP working in Thompson although I managed to setup VLAN 822 out from LAN 4 port from TL-WDR4300.

Can anyone help ?

Guys i need your input. Especially those who stay in apartment and they give you a DSL cable(phone line) rather than fibre optic.

They say it's apartment's fault (using old telephone switchbox) and thus the result is higher latency.

My ping to google is around 30 ms even after they have changed my modem and router (means no change, waste my time). But it should be 10ms and below.

They(technicians) have asked me to do a survey and i need proof so that i can kasi balik those lausy technician and do a real fix to the problem.

The RM100 discount (from RM118 early bird promo in mid 2012) has been renamed from "RM100 Perpetual Discount" to "Access Fee Discount (RM100)" in my January bill.

I guess nothing's perpetual (forever) any more sad.gif

Maxis and Unify vlan ID different.

This model use Realtek chipset. Why not buy the 860 with Broadcom chipset?
*
Didn't know there was an 860 model but would be more expensive with the USB 3.0 standard which I won't use anyway.

I asked from Maxis Customer Service for the Maxis VLAN IDs which were 821/822 for VoIP, 623 for INTERNET and 823 for IPTV.

Still hasn't solved the Network Status issue which is displayed as Busy... hmm.gif

That is pretty normal. I used to stay in rented apartment before transferring back to my home (landed). Yes, the ping is around 30~50 due to the VDSL copperline they used (Fiber to Riser, VDSL from riser to home unit).

In this case, must keep the 2013 bill properly in case Maxis play dirty.
