If this is the rental then it's not too bad lah given that vg will be coming in but duno when la. For now just looks deserted. Think hybrid strata retail is more likely to struggle n will take time to pick up if it ever does. Attached thumbnail(s)

It's a no-brainer that those units without the banners are developer's. My gut feel is about 50%. Occupancy as some have pointed out about 5%. The price appreciation was an illusion. Developer won the battle but not the war.

Anyway, at the rate its going, it will be next year before occupancy picks up - the rental is high so not easy to secure tenants unless owners agree to bleed for a year or two with lower rental to slowly fill it up..

One agent said the reno costs is high. Surprisingly, for this kind of price aircon piping not given & ventillation ducts not given. Got that so called state-of-the-art vacuum rubbish chute. Aisay, no rubbish, what to suck?
Add the 3 or 4 months deposit, you do the math. No wonder it is empty.

Rental low, but if the place ong, owner still hv chance to sell at good price. If the place is dying, not only cannot rent at good price, you don't even can sell at all..

But buildup so huge the total amount is huge. Somemore you said it's dying. Sell also susah, 6% GST on RM5mio, who has that cash nowadays?

Village Grocer is targeting to open in Plaza Arcadia in September 2017. Maybank is expecting to open in October 2017. Developer with approximately 500 employees will move in to Block C gradually from September 2017.
Developer has started upgrading work to provide better roof shelter for all ground floor shops and connectivity between Block A & G to other blocks. Developer is working on improvising access signage to Plaza Arcadia and better road connectivity to and from Plaza Arcadia from surrounding developments.
Subject to management approval, developer is considering to remove the retractable gate to open up the Highstreet for vehicles and also Valet services.
