The only broadband available in Bau, which is 35min drive from Kuching, is Streamyx 1Mbps! No free upgrade for current streamyx users.

So disappointed with TM.. white box up since 15th Dec. Til now still not yet launched in my taman. Will I missed the promo 139 for 30mbps? I'm streamyx user and already signed up for upgrade when they have a booth here in Sept.

If white box only up mid of this month (with number labelled) then it will only launch by early next month. Just be positive they will continue or launch new promo for CNY

In KK it’s around 6 month to a year before you can get unifi

Forgot to mention clearly in my last post, it should launch the following month after the number was labelled, at least that's the case in housings my area, PPG C048. Same case for PPG C037 too. Skipped this part because in my area the white box was up and labelled at the same time.

Recently seems like they're doing the job faster, at least that's the case for Penampang area, usually take 3 months from initial construction beginning to job done.

Number labeled maybe around Oct or Nov. Then now put up since 15th.. still waiting. Hoping will retain promo. Else will look at maxis see if their 139 30mbps still available

I'm from Limbang Sarawak, never have unifi here before, local TM say they are bringing unifi in months ago. and it's still work in progress,

they started to deploy fibers 3 years ago, recently finish pull fiber around all housing area and commercial buildings here

have TM fdp white boxes up and labelled, connected, but dont know still need how long for the service to be ready

Ok update. My taman unifi is activated. Agent helped me registered on 2nd Jan with promo 139 for 30mbps. Received email of installation scheduled on the 11th. Happy now.

May I ask, how to upgrade from 10mbps (RM129) to 30mbps (RM139)?

tm promised me last year 2017;

- july will got unifi ppl come - nope
- september service will roll out - nope
- disember latest - nope

f**ked up...thinking to get digi 150 already..

If your area digi is fast, u can consider it.

But digi sometimes faster than Unifi, sometimes slower than Streamyx.
Currently using DiGi. I can say occasionally experience disconnect just a few minutes.

If you use P2P software, then don't get DIGI.

samarahan, not far from church at samarindah there..sometime speed quite good, sometime is bad at night

yeah..the perks of using wireless broadband...samarahan area kinda meh sometime

not into p2p, mostly youtube, movie streaming, online gaming.

TM is hopeless especially for samarahan area, giving fake promises...

Today installed unifi already. Finally! Rm139 for 30mbps. Speedtest can get 30-32mbps.. not bad! Direct download also 3.8MB. Let's see how it goes down the road.

I am considering Unifi 30 and maxis fibre 30. Which one is more stable?

I only want to use the internet to watch tvbox.

I seldom stay in Tabuan Tranquility, Kuching.

Unifi seems stable.

But Maxis has unlimited calls to local fixed lines and mobile numbers.

So far, no much feedback from Maxis fiber users from Kuching.

I suggest you stay with Unifi, because they seem to give upgrade promotion from time to time. Last year they give +RM10 speed upgrade option, who knows what they will do this year . TM marketing department is quite active and creative, they will call you from time to time , to persuade you to upgrade.
