The process from registration to installation took about 2 weeks + to complete.
1. Register your Digi fibre plan, either at Digi store or through agent. Upon registration they will give you a transfer ID.
2. Go to Tmpoint with the transfer ID to do thumbprint verification. Also make sure you do not have outstanding bill with Unifi, otherwise TM may reject the transfer request. To make it easy, I pay 1 month in advance. Any balance after the transfer, TM will refund through cheque to your home address.
3. Wait for TM to approve your transfer, which could take between 5 to 10 working days.
4. Digi will contact you to set appointment for installation.
5. During installation Digi just plug their router to the BTU and setup the connection, everything done in less than half hour. Their job is just limited to their own router, anything related to BTU/fibre cable/poll is TM's responsibility, hence TM technician will usually come along to make sure everything is OK. If need be they will replace the BTU for free, otherwise just use back the same BTU.
During the waiting period, you can still use your Unifi as usual so there will be no downtime. Heck, my Unifi was only terminated 1 week after Digi fibre installation. So I am able to have both ISP running simultaneously for a week.
