A friend, my sister and myself got the 30 to 50 Mbps upgraded in the last few days! Finally.

Seems like the upgrade wave front is now going across Sarawak.

Do I see faster speed? Not 50/30 increase, maybe slightly faster. Some small files downloads are definitely faster now.

Hope that those who are still waiting will get theirs done in the coming few days.

They already fix the box in my housing area at Bundusan ... does that mean unifi coming soon or they need to setup on the whole area and test first before the service provided ?

I think have to wait for another few weeks. Boxes are also fixed at my area, taman rainfield penampang.

They have set up the box and paint all the tiang with yellow paint , but they didnt hang the box up yet due to the worsening weather in KK right now , hopefully they dont delay the installation

According to my info....apparently after 2 years, need to pay RM149 (RM20 STD Call is mandatory).

Really meh? I doubt tm monopoly this can happen. Price getting higher is always a possibility.

For Sarawak, the monopoly will be Sacofa, not TM. TM will be a ISP only.

O, Forget about Sacofa. tM and maxis so far providing fix fiber broadband here.

See how the state government take over the last-mile network from TM, otherwise we will end up having 2 fibre networks on the street.
In the past, Sacofa bought over all the telecommucation facilities in Sarawak from Maxis, Celcom, TM, Digi, so I assume Sacofa will take over TM's last-mile network soon.
Wait and see. Sarawak Multimedia and Communications Commission will be set up next year. Abang Jo's target is very much higher than Unifi Lite speed.

Any news for Unifi update in Sandakan area? My area is Mile 5, Sri Lagenda Villa at Jalan Sibuga just behind St. Monica. I was asked for Unifi coverage from many years ago. From the year begin of 2017, they say will available by this year end but now is already November 2017. Year 2017 is getting end soon.
