you wont fully use its bandwidth by only streaming youtube,

do speedtest.net with local server

ya, speedtest can get 70mbps above for download, 50mbps for upload.
but wat the point if i cannot enjoy such speed when streaming / downloading ?
we want to use it not just test the speed mah.

sometime it's the cdn or youtube server dont transfer that fast, they usually transfer at the speed thats more than enough for you to streaming up to 4k

if they transfer every single user at maximum speed they can, later server very lag liao, haha

as for downloading files, most of server can reach maximum

in your cases where even speedtest.net only reach 70mbps,

that might be because you are using WiFi N, bottlenecks

if u use Ethernet Cable also same,

it might be your router WAN Port is 100Mbps only, expect slow down a little for your actual internet connection speed, in that case you should get a better Gigabit LAN router with WIFI at least 5Ghz AC Standard, dont use Wireless N

try not to use Megabit Router, your lan ports will not always running at 100Mbps speed

since your internet is as fast as the standard lol

Are you using UNIFI now in Sabah/Sarawak? Please post your Speedtest, experience or anything you willing to share regarding UNIFI!

What is known (latest updates):
1. UniFi ADVANCE (30&50Mbps) and UniFi PRO 100Mbps is now available everywhere for all eligible areas
2. No bandwidth caps in the foreseeable future unless specified
3. Contract period of 24 months and termination during contract period penalty of RM500 (may subject to changes and terms)
4. UniFi30 and UniFi50's upload speed has been updated as follow:
UniFi30 - from 5Mbps to 10Mbps
UniFi50 - from 10Mbps to 20Mbps
If you are still having the old upload speed, you must call 100 and tell your "account still using old setting". No need for any technician to come in your premise even if they say so (happened to me)
5. The old packages of UniFi VIP5, VIP10 and VIP20 are no longer available for new registration (please confirm if you are still able to register for this)

UniFi PRO Plan 100Mbps
https://www.tm.com.my/unifipro/Pages/personal.html

UniFi Advance (30Mbps & 50Mbps)
https://www.tm.com.my/unifiadvance/Pages/personal.html

Promo is back!
Updated UNIFI VIP Packages (UNIFI30 and UNIFI50)
**Current UNIFI Advance promo of RM20 rebate throughout contract period of 2 years for UNIFI30 and UNIFI50 if you subscribe from now until 31st December 2015 [eg. for UNIFI30 without any add-ons, from RM199 to 199-20=RM179(RM189.74 with GST)]
Edit: I just contacted internal TM staff and they confirmed to me that this rebate is valid within the contract period of 2 years only. Not a major issue as you are free to downgrade/cancel/upgrade at that time but you must remember to.
Note: Their marketing department should contact you for limited retention offers beforehand

Will I be charged for installation?

Important Note: Most common installation that does not require 'extended' internal wiring is FREE. If technician still say otherwise, just tell them this is not the case. If they still insist on payment just request a receipt. I am hearing reports of installations being charged even though it should be free

What is the expected process after subscribing UNIFI?

The copper wires (ADSL/Streamyx) and Fibre Optic cable (Unifi FTTH) will co-exist at your place for some time. A few years from now, TM will remove the old wires (copper) when TM terminate the ADSL/streamyx service at your area (Then most of your neighbours already migrate to FTTH).

All the cables going into the Cxxx white box and extending to other Cxxx white box or Black tumbler.
Whoever subscribing FTTH (TM Unifi / Maxis Fibre / Celcom Fibre) service, TM will then install a fiber cable from Cxxx box to the premise. The cable is not pre-installed to your house.
