QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Jun 26 2013, 04:06 PM) simply polishing can remove SG? lol (heyyyy maybe THAT is why you're discouraged to polish/wax after done SG LOL!) SG's a glass coating - IMO, no amount of IPA will remove it off. Just perform compounding or polish and it should come off, but there's no way to tell though. Although its glass pretty much any LSP stays on it. SG on the rims is good stuff, makes cleaning much easier and it beads a fair bit. This post has been edited by colinwong89: Jun 26 2013, 10:21 PM

Bumped into this thread and noticed that bro KrisMas is here too. Got a couple of questions to ask. Where can I get IPA? My understanding is IPA wipedown can remove all the polishing oils and other stuff from the paint which allows the sealant to bind with the paint better? On clay bar, for soft 99 there is one for light coloured paint and another one for darker coloured paint. Is one more effective than the other? Meguiars has inky. 1 type right? Appreciate any advise.

( i just bought the megs pro clay mild version quite recently hehe, made in japan stuff lol)

But no denying that it keeps dirt from not sticking onto the rim surface. Glass coats aren't only used on cars, they can be used on almost everything for protection - medical apparatuses, buildings, even plants. Can be applied or sprayed depending on the application.
