You just need to appoint a good forwarder to help you bring the things from taobao...
Seller in taobao can be seen there... depends on how many diamonds, crown, or gold crown they get.

Which shop in Klang valley sells X-Fusion Velvet and/or Marzocchi 2013 Corsa forks? Looking for a 26" 100mm travel XC to replace my aging Epicon. Looking for something other than Fox/RS/Manitou/Suntour/Spinner. Saw some Marzocchi's at Rodalink but are the older models.

Just serviced my 2009 Epicon fork recently. Bushings is a little worn down and had some play. It scratched the air spring lower stanchion a little but since the fork does not have an oil bath (uses grease instead) nothing to worry about. Some amount of chatter on rough terrain. No biggie but think time to change soon. Have gone through many hours of fun ride with it and love it to bits. Very easy to service and low maintenance. Quite a good fork other than mine lacks low speed damping and suffers from brake dives. Love the remote lockout for climbs. The newer models seems better and much improved over the older models but want to try something else.

Er... think will only look for the 2013 Marzocchi forks. The older ones... well... erm... heard about problems. Even seen some Marzocchi models using some common parts like lockout to be same with Suntour!

Ok. Will go check. Heard good reviews about it.

What you all scared about mozzies. Get some DEET repellant, keep riding and pushing hard, don't stop! Well... only got two persons riding tonight including myself. So RRI is seems to be the safer bet. Mozzies seem far friendlier than human nowdays blink.gif
Went to Elmina few weeks back. Very very sad, the whole East side of Elmina levelled to the ground with plenty of "lori hantu" doing massive ground work cry.gif The west side over Empangan Tasik Subang is a little better but saw some amount of land clearing work going on too, Alam Budiman side is still okay but only a matter of time it gets wiped out. The Alam Budiman area adjacent to Setia Alam levelled out now for some massive housing project. Bored with Alam Budiman now after going through Altantuya trail side several times during midnight but did not see anything extraordinary... sweat.gif
Went to Sg Tangkas, Kajang last week for some nice undulating ride till midnight. Really enjoyed it. Been a while since I rode there and it is still good. Just need to watch out for cobras at night...

It's not just a few..it's whole swamp of mozzy come after you. But then that was morning. My mozzy guard repellant is useless.

Elmina, alam budiman, atyantula and elmina trail is pretty nice.

Tomorrow Kiara

Haizz... ohmy.gif

I'm really a beginner in this area so i really dont know much, and i saw some bike with price tag over RM1k and just using the XCT so i assume the XCM should be a nice upgrade for the stock fork that comes with the bike?[which the fork is sealed and really really stiff]

Went on Friday night. Still accessible... (not sure for how long) They (not sure who) erected some new barbed fencing surrounding the RRI perimeter. At Cova Square, cycle round the lake by the new exclusive housing area. Near the extended platform to the lake there is a small path to enter RRI. Mini single track to the main path. Somebody seems to have cleared up the overgrown bushes quite a bit since the last time I've been there.

Lets see...
The team ver, the Recon fork is okay, decent entry level rims, drivetrain is okay, hate the brakes. At 26 pounds for a HT... Erm...
The comp ver, the Epicon fork is the best entry level air sprung fork, drivetrain X5 so so..., hate the brakes. At almost 28 pounds... Gulp... Heavy IMO as that's the weight of my AM full sus.

My opinion... From what I feel
I've tested both Shimano and sram drive trains. Like sram for the positive clicks/shifting but don't really like the quality except for the higher range models (X9 and above). sram FD shifting sucks to me. Shimano shifts with less effort but feedback from shifting is a little muted. Other than that very reliable.
On brakes, the newer shimano brakes are really good. Decent amount of stopping power. Reliable and low maintenance with mineral oil. I have a love hate relationship with avid brakes. The stopping power can be very good. Just need to maintain it regularly by bleeding every 6 months or so to keep it in good shape. More if you ride in plenty of dirt and use a lot. Caliper pistons can get stuck one side causing uneven brake bias on disc after a while. Usually if you ride lots of muddy and dirty conditions. The DOT brake fluid does not lubricate the caliper piston square seals and with dirt can cause piston to bind a little. Unless you have the knack to service your brakes regularly, go for shimano brakes.

I would get a bike with at least a shimano slx rear drivetrain, slx brakes, epicon fork and decent rims to begin with. Well it is just my opinion. Go get a feel/test/ride various bikes first. Your choice anyway. Think I saw a polygon carbon HT, with fox fork but regular deore components for somewhere 4k or below... cant quite recall. Check rodalink... Sometimes they've got some unbelievable discounts on bikes and good deals.
