spotted! ride around taman biker or should i say poser tongue.gif
like that, save your money and just a get a section of PVC from your local hardware shop. they can cut it to any length you like and even drill out more holes to save some more weight. Personally i think a bit of copper pipe is classier as it oxidises it turns a cool shade of green.

Haha... you are funny...

Anyway an info for you guys, please beware of getting rechargeable LED bike light from China. Charge with care cause a battery of my friend's exploded while charging. Overcharge or defects that I do not know. Just be careful while you charge it or put it on nonflammable surface while charging. Just be careful not to set your house on fire.

I disagree.  China market are hundred times the size of ours.  They have much better product than we do and more variety.  You just have to know where to look for it.  Most of the goods sold in our local bicycle shops are from china anyway.

i'm agreed China market is huge and have a lot good item, but i dont know where to look for it.

As far as I am told by my friend who do trading from China.
He said that branded stuffs from china do not have much price difference compared to here, hence if get defectives products or unmatched products might ended up higher cost than here (send back cost and come to malaysia again).
No doubt they are made in china. Unless you can direct get from factory in china. Also china people are famous in rebrand, just be extra careful then.

Unless those really china brand things then will be so much cheaper. But just need to be careful when you are buying, if your forwarder are good, you may request a photo from them once the products reach their hub in china to confirm before sending here.

Its really depends on how much risk you wanna take. From taobao can check ratings, but still they will change for you but you need to bare all the postage fee sending back and from there back to malaysia.

Everybody start somewhere right?

Even the world best footballer once play with coconut in the backstreet.

there you go. coconut also can be used, it does have a thousand uses after all.
i imagine, if Neymar played with a coconut growing up he would not be the player he is today.
since you worship the altar that is taobao then do go ahead but you have been warned.
i still say, since you just want to ride in your taman, just go to your LBS pays your money and pick the colour you like.

i agree that china market is big... everything including the famous product we used daily are made from china in one way or another. but we too must remember the qc and assurance with the product backed by a brand is another story. well that also do not mean branded stuff has no defect. you are just paying for the level of assurance. lets not get too deep on china market ... shall we...

carbon bar is something delicate and easily go wrong... even if its taman ride or minor off road. any breakage is catastrophic. there were once some fake FSA carbon bar sold in BBS and some who use it even on xc rides get into troubles.

mind you... this is just advice.. take it or not up to you... it is you who gonna used it.. not us.

Anyway, thanks for the advise. I will stay away from carbon handle to be on the safe side.

Anyway, being a Taman biker, I still can choose any bike I want and any price I can afford, not just the color.

it did have problem but not with serious injury. it just like any other
branded frame and they said they receive new replacement in the warranty period.
Only hardtail though...full sus is overly complex

frame crack is different story.. most just creaks and you discover the issue.
handle bar is whole different story... it breaks.. you fall straight with ur face down..
