heheheh..... u so keen of wearing shoe with studs means u keen of pushing instead of riding.
typically for riding- the shoe should be stiff.

QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Aug 5 2013, 09:20 PM) Yes, mostly for jumping. Newbies please wear safety equipments and please have someone experienced around. A few people broke their bones riding in DD. Jump safe aite! KDCF fan here....Last week a friend of mine said kdcf has been somewhat banned... not sure if this is true no la, it is actually not banned. Just got one weirdo trying to prevent ppl entering the trail. He is no body but on and off try to block off the enterance. Dunno what is his agenda. infact, those few "official" care takers like Mr Foo and his gang had just extended the trail by another 2km to 6km. |

QUOTE(smang @ Sep 11 2013, 10:00 AM) Trek bike is ok, except the reputation sort of like fall from grace after the Lance Armstrong scandal and Aaron Gwin jumpship to specialized... if that means anything to you at all. I am using EX7 2011 model.... decent bike, not major complaint. Though i am not hardcore type which maximize the bike potential. just check the spec for 2013 model. For EX7 decent fox fork and shox w CTD & DRCV deore FD & shifter- seems to be not very appetizing. while EX6, i would almost say forget about it- as the RS fork and shox what is the price quoted? u willing to consider EX8? How about other major brand- not being considered? |

QUOTE(smang @ Sep 11 2013, 11:39 AM) to me this armstrong saga is more of an individual than the brand so its okay. have u check price of EX6 in malaysia ? as in really check the selling price after discount?the reason why i'm considering these trek bikes are because ive got a friend in melbourne selling any trek at cost to me. EX6 roughly at about 6500. I believe here retailing at about 7500. I think EX8 is out of budget. I'm currently using a focus blackforest 5.0 HT with alivio and acera parts. So deore and SLX is an 'upgrade' to me. what other would your recommend? EX7 2 years ago was rm 7200. For that small price benefit- there is no point to export in la. ( also i doubt that is ur friend cost price...profit margin should be 30-40% of retail price?) there are many other decent brand- giant, scott etc. i am just noob, don't dare to recommend. only can share personal preference |

QUOTE(smang @ Sep 12 2013, 12:27 PM) yea price for ex6 brand new is about 7600. ex 7 is about 9000. ex 8 about 10k Remedy ... is a bit more hard core- and it cost like Rm 10k or more. i doubt it is good for beginner ( i assume that you are one).price is before discount. i'm assuming i can get about 5-10%. I've read many good reviews on this EX line as it was recommended by that friend of mine. Maybe he's promoting it because he sells trek but then again it's a nice bike. I'm trying to compare the same range with other brands/models but i'm not too sure what others are there to compare. Remedy is a full on AM bike, i'm trying to find a good balance with AM and XC. a bike that can do both i suppose. Also it is no so popular around here. at those price ( 7600) i think it is not worth it. |

QUOTE(kdrocks @ Oct 22 2013, 05:48 PM) Like I said, I'm clumsy well.... someone clumsy shouldn't be riding a MTB. it is a dangerous sport. Anyway, I may go miaopurr route by getting a canvas bag or something like that. Anyway- we don't see the trouble to mount the tyre without any tools. And worst still- we had not seen anyone to bring a repair stand to the trail head LOL! |
