QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Mar 15 2013, 12:07 PM) And the word here is "upgrade" and consumers will be a sucker for it . Guess it's human nature , when ip5 came out , everyone was complaining . Yet today , ip5 has the top sales compared to others in the market in Q4 . And for those who r complaining here about the design and how u bad u guys felt about it , dont go buying a S4 when it comes out . It will contradict to your own words . Don't be surprised some of the early buyers will be those who are complaining mainly about the design. I see the same trend in S3 when all the "ugly phone" descriptions were thrown about. As I have said earlier , such users can possibly change their mind when physically viewing and handling the phonePersonally just based on the photos, it looks slightly better than the S3. I am fine with its appearance/design - it is not going to win any beauty contest but than buying a phone, as I always said design is not my main consideration unlike some others |

i still reserve my decision whether to get this phone.
this time i dont have the hype to get it on the 1st day like i did with S3 and note2. will wait for more proper review, and i believe my moment of truth will come when i see it, touch it, play with it! my personal opinion the design is good cos i love the s3, note2 design too:) but i must admit that the last 30min of the presentation was kind of boring... No worried, I said won't buy sure won't.As for Apple, this was different case as I mention above. iOS user the only choice was Apple, not like Android user, plenty to choose from. And Manufacture start seeing marketing was important, as least Sony seen it and start pushing now. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Mar 15 2013, 12:15 PM |

S4 offers a lot of new stuff that I can see. IR Blaster, Smart Pause, built-in pedometer, etc. It will be a worthy upgrade to the dual-core phone owners of two generations ago (and maybe new smartphone / iOS owners), maybe not so much for current S4 owners.
QUOTE(PeeEl @ Mar 15 2013, 11:55 AM) There's also the other side of the coin - herd mentality. During your 'study', does the average Joe demonstrate a strong sense of independent decision-making (I will not buy S4), or does he go with the flow (I bought S3 becos everybody had one)?I suspect a lot of people had individual opinions in the beginning but eventually succumbs to perceived societal and peer pressure in order to blend in. Public acceptance is so important these days, especially to the younger crowd (Gen Y and younger). QUOTE(joytest @ Mar 15 2013, 11:56 AM) Quot homines, tot sententiae Ah Latin. The only Latin I know is 'carpe diem et memento mori'. Luckily there's Google The Romans had a phrase for it already. However, humanity never really "learns" and always repeats the same sh**. However, it takes time for individuals to realize that in every generation. At least uncle already saw the light for half of his life. Perhaps it can't be said for a lot of other people. That's true, but the fear of rejection by peers make some people accept whatever others are preaching. Is there Latin phrase for that? |

Galaxy s4 is way too similar with galaxy s3, that leave xperia z and htc one to grap. Boring with that design already.

Only real fight is between S4 and HTC One due to both is running on DDR3
I would like to see how good is the Octa Core and 544Mp3 graphics Xperia Z is out of the competition ( same price as above due to the design/water+dust resist ) |

boring hardware design. and yes it is my opinion and i can freely express it. but that octacore BIGsmall processor will scream definitely.
then again, if samsung put the exynos4 in it people will still buy it by the millions. only techie like us all in this forum will be picky about specs. |
