Actually it's good idea...

I'm proposing around 10% of the total amounts...
Sufficient enough I guess 😜

what????

take 2% or 3% of what? dividend or total assets in EPF? per year?

so what we can look forward to is basically dividend yield of 3% max....
and now government hospital is paid for by hardworking citizens of Malaysia of private sector mainly. But government servants get to enjoy hospital care.... nice...

i was thinking 20-30%... lol... after all about half of it was tax free anyways... if epf didn't exist and company pays it all to you... you kena higher tax bracket liao...

anyways these ppl will get tongkat aid somehow from gov anyways... which is indirectly from us hard working folks... so better let them withdraw their own money and pump back into local economy first... iphone or new car i dun care... lol... but this delays gov from having to robreduce subsidies/increase taxes from us hardworking folks... but too late liao i guess...

Contribution....

Since some people die2 say must increase the percentage... So the increase percentage of contribution goes to National Healthcare Scheme??? To fund your expenses in government health facilities... Something like that... If I understand correctly 😁

Bloody hell....

Just create a new tax called NHS or Medicare like what UK and/or US does....
(which I will support now that I have retired... lol. I can expect our gov hospital services will improve, right? )

EPF contribution is for retirement or pension, not for silly stuff like NHS.

Just some suggestions only.... As usual would be think over later πŸ˜ƒ

Anyway....
EPF seems to be target by both side of the political sides.....

One side keep pushing for withdrawal.... Another one give idea to reduce government burden on healthcare cost.... By using EPF contribution....

I don't think anything will come out of this suggestion. Just an air headed suggestion for political mileage.

Even if it was implemented, possibly its applicable to those who want to sign up on voluntary basis.

The wealthier folks mighjt not want this, most would have their own private insurance to care for their medical needs.

Government is trying to relinquish its responsibility as health service purchasers and providers

in the name of separation of power. increase efficiency etc.

role of service providers pushed to autonomous local hospitals, clinics,
so KKM hospital and clinics can start charging you the rates they like?

role of purchaser will be taken up by 3rd party Strategic Purchaser entity, crony?

end up rakyat sendiri foot the bill
poor no money how ?
the rich sponsor the poor lah.

They giving excuses that our healthcare is very highly subsidized... One of the highest in the world they say.... Pay only rm1 or rm5.... Very cheap for everyone.... They also said T20 abusing the healthcare facilities.... Enjoy it at very low cost......

This third party thingy I don't really agree.... Would increase the cost.... Like how pharmniaga monopoly of supplies.... They actually not very efficient.... Just okay only... Nothing impressive at all.... Now see they also in trouble because of wrong decisions made on vaccine procurement...

Being poor means need to be healthy.... Cannot get sick later on.... Need to pay.... Looks like we going towards like African style.... Poor don't really have access to healthcare????? Now also can see at those small private clinic.... Minimum rm50... Can go till 100+++ if your sickness is more....
