Frequent visitors to this thread generally are like you. But, I strongly believe that we are not the majority.

By visiting the threads like "AKPK, Debt Issues", and "CCRIS, CTOS, Blacklisted by Ban", we can know that how poor these people in money management.

Basically, their minds has nothing other than thinking of where they can borrow money!

Post-55, I would choose to keep most of the cash in the EPF as is, but I would insist to have the option and right to totally clean it out if necessary.

Wouldn't want the govt to tell me what I can or cannot do with my hard earned money.

Does the EPF nomination take precedence over the latest will ?

That's the difference. But don't feel down as your boss earns 10x more than you, but his EPF only double your amount.
He should be ashamed of himself, and it would be glad knowing that not many people can even save 50k in EPF at your age.
Be grateful for what you have at this age. You have a great future.

The boss probably didnt make any withdrawals at all, and has a higher than average salary of above RM15K per mth

Appreciate all the encouragement words of wisdom..

Just wondering, is 200K alot for a 31 years old? based on the contribution, i calculated that he might be earning approx 11-13K.

is 200K the benchmark for 31 years old...

At the rate the boss31 is going, by 40, he should hit RM 1 million in EPF savings.

210K at age 31 is rather low. Should be at least 300K to 400K range already..😂

this has become kopitiam thread? Lots of boasting

Haha yes...can’t fight ‘em, join ‘em😂
I read in LYN quite often of ppl boasting of high salaries and savings at a young age, its quite unbeleiveable.

In all honesty, I think 210k in EPF at age 31 is a pretty commendable sum and way above the average savings of the mass market Malaysian workers.

I think we can gauge by the reduction in dividends from the other funds i.e LTAT, ASN, PNB. I would expect a 5 to 5.5% range.

Between 5.50 to 6.15 sounds ok in the current environment.

I thought the EPF dividends are a result of the income from the investments done externally and internally by the EPF itself, what does it have to do with govt spending or taxes ?
