But nowadays will be hard to see same age youngsters willing to work like that

Yea.. those were the days! I remembered only first few days of working as a cashier, I need to use some of my own pocket money to payback the supermarket because the cash register $ wouldn't tally with the recorded printed receipts..

I guess nowdays parents are over protective of their kids especially in big cities.

Nowadays kids make money from:

I) Writing apps and selling it

II) Play games, level up then sell it to 3rd party for a profit

I always taught the legal employment age was 16, as that time I needed to wait until this age (form 3) before can work partime in a company.
