>> Does EPF set the minimum age required to contribute?

There is no minimum age limit set. Each employee is liable to contribute.
However, the minimum age is 14 years old under Act 350, Child And Young Persons (Employment) Act 1996 (Revised 1998), Employment

Yea.. those were the days! I remembered only first few days of working as a cashier, I need to use some of my own pocket money to payback the supermarket because the cash register $ wouldn't tally with the recorded printed receipts.. cry.gif

I guess nowdays parents are over protective of their kids especially in big cities.

Nowadays kids make money from:

I) Writing apps and selling it

II) Play games, level up then sell it to 3rd party for a profit

I always taught the legal employment age was 16, as that time I needed to wait until this age (form 3) before can work partime in a company.

Since when it was changed to 14?

Well, a fact that cannot be denied.
That's why people that commits suicide are getting younger.
By working part times are good to expose our self to the reality world.
