I went in the evening, about 4PM to 7PM. The crowd started to build up from 6PM. And thanks to the roofless carpark in IOI mall, I walked gracefully in rain.

In light of more and more people doing weights, especially free weights.
Maybe it's time for Fitness First to upgrade their equipments and increase size of the free-weight rooms. Especially the one at Manulife and Damansara Uptown, free weight session is quite small. |

Yeah I agree Neek. That would be a lot feasible in doing bicep curls and tricep curls.
To Disciple, All plates used for smith machine/benchpress/shouldpress/squats are in kgs in Fitness First ranging from 10kg being the lightest to 25kg being the heaviest. Cheers, Ken |

Can increase by 1.25kg per side when trying to increase weight, ie. 2.5kg instead of having to put 2.5kg each side.
This especially holds true when doing bicep curls. I doubt many people can increase 5kg for every increment when doing barbell bicep curls or tricep curls for that matter. |

QUOTE(Syd G @ Dec 7 2007, 06:26 PM) plates not cheap ler.and i dun mind 2.5kg jumps. thats not too bad. the problem is, Manulife FF does NOT have 1.25kg plates like the OTHER FFs. the lightest they have is 2.5kg plates.. meaning one on each side is 5kg jumps. they do have that small silver 2.5 lbs plates.. but those frequently go missing and only 3 pieces of that. sigh. newbies like me getting a hard time in Manulife and i think weight training habits are picking up... Manulife needs to expand the weights section AGAIN! they expanded once ald... still not enough!! |

hello people!
im not sure if this is the appropriate topic to ask this question but since this is a topic on Fitness First i might as well drop it in here rather than opening a new topic! ok,anyone here that has any experience terminating FF membership altho the 1 year contract hasnt been fulfilled yet?my story goes like this,i was studying in KL in 2006 when i registered at FF and knowing that there will be another 1.5yrs for me being there i took up their offer and registered for 1yr membership.but now,i have relocated before the 1yr contract was up and need to terminate the membership... so,to anyone who has been in this situation before or knowing sum1 else who had,i need to know how much penalty was imposed.. thanks!!! |

No I'm quitting end of Dec. I cant afford the lifestyle anymore.
Will go back to university tracks, weighted vests, sandbags, swissball, kettlebells and other misc items. I guess I'm more of a strength & conditioning person. Gym = optional |
