if you can wait, why not wait for hatchback and see what option it has...

if you cant wait, and got the budget for CFE, go for CFE, after all it has 7 virtual gear which at least give you some control over your engine

preve turbo is just soft turbo, normally they go twincharged with supercharger, below 2k rpm is supercharger which is something like electric motor, after that is turbocharger using exhaust to push the turbine.

Why Rio 1.4T in particular which is not sold here?

There is a whole lineup of turbocharged small displacement engines being sold by VW, such as the 1.4 TSI.

Some VWs are only turbocharged, eg. the TSI.

Supercharger is powered by the engine which starts boosting the moment you start your engine.

TSI is twin charged my fren. look at the diagram, supercharger and turbocharger that why 1.4L is comparable to 2.3L and less FC. http://www.greencarcongress.com/2005/08/inside_vws_new_.html

Well some turbocharger engine already at maximum torque even at 1250rpm. Some @ 1500rpm.

Ah OK sorry I was thinking the Polo TSI, which is only 1.4 turbocharged.
