Guys when I took my car, the SA adviced me to lower the tyre pressure to 200. Can I know does everyone follow the guideline given on the door or go with 200? What's the difference?

What's the difference? Bro, sometimes the the dealer will over inflate the car's tyre due to prolong period in the showroom. But, in my case, the tyres were all underinflated at 25 psi, whereby it should be 31 psi. I suggest you, to set the tyre pressure as per guideline at the door.

Shall adjust per guidelines then. Btw how much did it cost you to paint your rims? Some use powder coat and some use plastidipped. What's the difference? I am a complete noob in car mods. Plasticdipped is totally reversible if not mistaken. It can be peeled off. But i am not sure about the durability like say during car wash. Powder coat, u need to sand it off if u wanna change color and it is more durable. But of course if u run ur wheels againts the road curb, both will have scratches

I'm thinking of doing the same. How much is it the cost in JB for all 4 wheels & what colour is it? Gunmetal grey or matte black it seems. Thx

Hello All FOFO Owners and Sifus,
I have some question to ask. How is the reliability of this car? I understand it has 3yrs free service and 5yrs warranty, but my concern is, does it have alot of problems? Coz although got warranty, it will be a hassle to always to back to SC.
Is the parts expensive? Also, is parts easily available or always have to leave the car few days at SC?
Thank you very much.

Good thing is , if I wanna them shinier, I just wipe my rims with Meguiars Endurance Spray. They look wicked!

QUOTE(0304125 @ Jan 8 2014, 02:33 PM) All I can say is, drive it to believe it! how long it took you before it became a habit to you? Maybe I should stop visiting this thread like you bro, lol, I just have to keep stressing how good the safety features we can get in this Focus for the price we pay, it's the best value for money car you can get for now in Malaysia in this price range. As I said in previous post, everyone value things differently. I'm not a car expertise but for me, it is obviously an issue for Ford Focus to have jerking and grinding sound. I don't understand why some of keep on saying the jerking and grinding are cause by so and so techonolgy and its more superior. Maybe some of you are from Ford salesman or from Simedarby Auto Connection . LOL ! By the way, my schedule of changing clutch and shaft appoinment fixed by end of Feb.They have added the changes of new clutch might not solve the jerking and grinding issues. Sime Darby Auto Connection said it takes 4 days to fix up my car. So 4 days without car! WTF

Over the distance of 12,000km its only occur 2-3 times for me..

Might check the price around KL for plastidip. powder coat is the best durability but expensive, around rm900-1k. normal spray is around rm300-500 IIRC.

In KL it is more expensive, a fellow Fb friend in our Ford Group said that in KL, he did for RM580. I suppose mine in JB, is cheap already. Unless u can do it yourself. Durability , i can say it's good, unless someone intentionally peel off the dip. Additionally, you can it off if u dont like the color and wanna replace with another color.

Anybody tried the top speed on the Focus? The needle on the speedometer went past 205km/h and was still inching to 210km/h but I backed off then. I was particularly impressed by the acceleration at the top end speed as it just takes a short while to accelerate from 150km/h to 200km/h without much struggle. Seems like this thing is built for speed.

Seems like this thing is built for speed. I've only tested up to 160km/h and I can feels there's still a lot of strong pushing power within it. This must thanks to the 170 horsepower from the 2.0 GDI engine, there's 25 more HP compared to the Japanese made 2.0 dual-vvti in the all new altis, or at least 20% more power from the same cc of engine. We're still the king of stock, non-turbo 2.0 litre engine in Malaysia market, the next challenger would be the Nu GDI 2.0 litre engine from the Hyundai, on paper it's stated 180 HP, and 210 NM of torque, with their own developed auto gear box, I wonder in actual street, who will outperform better?

Top speed I have hit was closer to 220 km/h and there was a feel it could still go on a bit more, but due to traffic, had to slow down .. Btw, was testing high speed against a C200K and a 2.4 Accord .. Drive it the way the engineers design it to be ... **evil smile**

Fuel pedal, would dust accumulate beneath and cause the pedal to stuck? 2. Embedded rear antenna 3. 18inch wheel? I likey bigger Dislike: 1. Jack lifter placing wasting the already limited trunk space 2. No bonnet insulation? Maybe good for engine cooling? 3. Where is the cruise control? 4. Smart keyless not so smart 5. No front sensor
