Has anyone experienced the responsiveness of the active city stop?
I notice that when the car is at a slope, it's measurement of the distance between the car in front and my fofo at the back is not as accurate.
My car is below 1k milage and I have experienced auto stop twice and it both occurred while my car is at a slope.
*
I have experience it few time after getting my car. Happened on flat road and down slopes, most of the time is during jam. Is there a minimum or maximum distance for the active city stop to work?

Sometime the sensor blocked by plate number rather than real obstacle...

In my daily route, I have to go through a few slopes, but never experience this active city stop, how it works and what do you feel inside the car? Suddenly break by itself?

when it's jam, how close you usually stick your car to the front? So far I didn't had this problem before, wondering if my active city stop working or not, lol.

Bro, active city stop sensor isn't the park pilot sensor around the bumper - it's the one located on the windscreen.
You can test if it's working by starting your car and opening lifting your hood upright (blocking the sensor) - you should get a warning in the screen stating Active City Stop blocked, etc...

My experience with the active stop is kinda interesting.
The sensor pick up the bar gate at the entrance to my apartment and stop.
How it feels? Scary to me, it makes a loud noise as the brake engaged and then u see a warning message on the dashboard.
If anyone wanto test the active city stop while the car is moving can try this method.
Use a horizontal bar, position it so that it is higher than your bonnet. This will increase the time for u to response incase the sensor failed to pick up the obstacle.
Unless you are 1000% confident with the system, otherwise testing it against a solid object would be crazy?

BHP Ron95 seems goes very well with our Focus.
Initially i used BHP then Shell for the Bonuslink and CC points. I've been using Shell since my 10k service for about 4 fuel ups. It felt very sluggish. Tried Ron97 Shell better acceleration but expensive.
I pumped in Ron95 BHP it feels like the car got some boost.
I've always been sceptical about differences between fuel that it not much difference but BHP really differs. Its smooth and superb acceleration.
Anyone find it to be same?

Sometime during jam, i release brake and put on a bit of throttle and the car "leaps" forward almost kissing the front car, thats when active city stop kicks in. Now to remedy it, i'll let the car in front move further abit before applying throttle.

How it feels... ummm.... u can hear the brakes "makan" very tightly and warning on the dashboard, i think if not mistaken the emergency signals will come up as well..

Both times that I experienced were on uphill slope.
Weird.
I figured the active city stop does work fine.
Maybe while on slopes, it doesn't measure accurately.
Can the active city stop be disabled?
Does anyone do so?

Focus ST is a different league compare to Sport / Titanium. Miss driving my Satria Neo Manual though but too troublesome and tiring driving manual to work through the traffic everyday.
Now no regrets getting this Focus.

Yes you can disable active city stop through the setting menu.
I disabled it once because I can't get to the gate sensor to tap my entry pass as the active city stop engaged picking up the gate bar as obstacle doh.gif
But it will reset every time you restart your car.
Its a safety feature after all.

Guys,

would like to know when your focus went over uneven roads, does the suspension sound transfer to the cabin? i know it should be soft thud but somehow it's quite a loud thak thak/thud sound
