QUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 15 2013, 02:14 PM) When you flash monx rom , you will be asked whether you want to backup your EFS ? Did you select yes. If so , just locate the backup files and restore it. There are 2 files : efsbackup.tar.gz and efsdev-mmcblk0p3.img.gz man..i think i screwed up. never did efs backup. argh so stupid.EFS contains information about your phone radio/baseband and IMEI info. These cannot be restored from nandroid backup Losing EFS means going directly to service center to have it corrected. There is no software solution unless you have made a EFS backup Losing EFS is rare case but it sometimes happen to some unlucky users - why it happen, seriously until now I have no idea Maybe you flash 7105 perseus kernel and not 7100 ? i downloaded the kernel zip file from xda. it says that it is for n7100 and n7105 |

QUOTE(joytest @ Jan 15 2013, 01:41 PM) Info for all about the new bootloader and kernel that is why when I updated to the new DLL7, I did not flash the new bootloader so that I can still reset my binary counter to 0.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...&postcount=1325 I asked Dr Ketan yesterday and this is his reply: What i believe is, exynose exploit is fixed with bootloader, after flashing new bootloader exynose abuse should not work. (it still works if your device is rooted) while kernel patching was done (i heard on S3) for sudden death issue. And his response to another post: You mean for flash counter? Of course it will check, even more smartly then older. More Difficult to set system status 'official' with new bootloader. |
